My advice is not to take a bus from Puli to this property, but take a taxi instead, its located up on the hills, unless you enjoy go hiking with your luggages! Its located up in a quaint area among the hills, very quiet and serene surroundings. The property was inspired by the old english architecture, there are several picture... More

We have stayed 2 nights and we extremely love our stay here! Though it takes around 2 hours to reach from Taichung, however it is worth the time. We were served a complimentary simple high tea while waiting to check-in. The staff are polite and friendly. Especially the breakfast, we love it so much! Besides the breakfast set, there is... A very stylish hotel with good hifi equipment even in the room and lots of CDs for guests to take three each time to enjoy in the room. Room is spacious and clean and staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel even offer complementary tea time in the afternoon and wine tasting in the late evening. We enjoyed our stay... More

The hotel is nice and all rooms are 2 storey with nice little balcony, it is really cozy to spend an afternoon sitting there and have some coffee and tea. The location is a bit far from the tourist centre but the hotel does provide offer shuttle bus. Hotel staff are really helpful and friendly and are very responsive to... More

It is probably the best boutique hotel we've ever stayed in (we haven't been to many). Might be a bit pricey but it's definitely worth it. There are many similar places around of this kind but we are satisfied with our stay. The location is a bit far from the attractions (15min walk up the hill) and they don't serve... More

There are many choices in this location. I am attracted with its building decoration. Hotel staff is very nice and introduce the hotel and room in details. It is a relaxing environment with smiling people. This hotel is a good choice. On the other hand, till now, I still do not understand why the staff remind us not to flush... More

Was here a few years ago and decided to stay a night again on Christmas Eve this year. The beauty of this place is just as good as my first encounter - the atmosphere, the room, the staff and the music in the air. Meals (except breakfast) are now only available at 'The Old England' - undoubtedly the best and... More

We stay here from 16th to 18th Oct. The staff are very helpful, special thanks to Shirley & Tony for their assistance in all the transport arrangements. They made us feel like VIP the moment we check-in. Shangrila has 3 hotels - namely Hanging Garden, Music Villa & The Old England. You could ask any of the staff from any... More

Not that close to centre of Cingjing, this stay is located at lower end of the area. The atmosphere is exotic, not to say too much as you may look at some pictures shared by other users here. It needs consideration of transport since this takes 5 minutes by car from the nearest bus stop. Better rent a car with... More

I picked this hotel after seeing the "autumn leaves" photos of this location. As we stayed there in June, there was no autumn foliage but the area around the Music Villa was still pretty with summer flowers. It was really lovely to enjoy a cup of tea outside at the room balcony, watching the sea of clouds rolling in. A... More
