My wife being an Aman Junkie this was our sixth stay at an Aman property, and I am still waiting for the one where everything is perfect as Aman claims to be... When we arrived from Amangalla with an Aman car, we were surprised to be asked are you Mr.&Mrs. X and when we denied, are you Mr.&Mrs. Y? Wrong... More

Sometimes a name alone is enough to hint at the allure of a given place, as we quickly found out at this tranquil resort on the secluded Sri Lankan shores. Its an idyll tryst to share with your loved one that has more coconut trees than humans. We wanted a break from work and this crescent-shaped wedge of fine, white... More

Amanwella The resort is built along a beautiful sandy beach with coconut palms everywhere. The rooms have a typical Aman layout. Sliding doors and windows allow you to sleep with two sides of the room open to the tropical air. Compared to other Aman beach resorts the outside area of the room is relatively small including the plunge pool. The... More

After 3 nights at the Amangalla in Galle, we spent 2 night at the Amanwella. We regretted that we did not stay longer... The property is breathtaking: located on a quiet and beautiful bay, both the common areas and the villas are stunning. The architecture is sleek and chic. The dining room and bar oversee the spectacular pool, the library... More

Just spent 6 nights at the wonderful Amanwella. Amazing views, great facilities and fantastic food. The service is great and the temple tour interesting but not one for those who don't like heights! The facials in the spa were superb and the service and friendliness of the staff were excellent. Already thinking about returning!

Our stay in Amanwella was truly memorable.Upon arrival, Henry, the manager, made us feel truly at home. Although the weather was not good, we enjoyed our two night stay tremendously. The beach club restaurant served excellent fresh fish, the afternoon complementary tea was very civilised, overlooking the sea, and breakfast was abundant and professional. Service at breakfast was a bit... More

There is a single hammock strung between two coconut palms on the beach. In most hotels around the world, it would have been reserved before breakfast by someone leaving a towel and a book on it. Not here. In fact the guests are so discretely spread out across the property that some of the time you wonder if you are... More

This is an amazing resort if you wish to get away from the hustle and bustle and just chill out on the beach, have great food and enjoy some of the world’s best service from the Aman trained staff. The resort is situated on a beautiful bay with a tremendous beach, the sea was quite rough when we were there... More

It was one of the best places. Very large rooms & an in built pool for each room. A 50 meter swimming pool & a fantastic private beach area. I would recomend this place for the Romantic Couples who just want to be with one another.
