I stayed here for one night in July 2014. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere. In fact, I was told by my driver that the road that leads to it is shut when it's dark due to elephants roaming the road. The hotel grounds are beautifully maintained and the reception/bar/restaurant is nicely designed. The rooms are a good... More

Really attractive complex, given relatively low cost. Buffet meals of generally (given that they were buffets) high quality. Plenty of Sri Lankan food-pretty well (ie not boringly touristy) spiced. Chinese and western dishes well prepared and tasty. Attractive pool area and parkland surrounding prettily decorated chalets. Shower pressure very low, but that a minor criticism of an enjoyable venue.

Location right near sigiriya rock fortress with amazing views of rock from the pool. Within 15minutes walking distance. Also plenty of tuktuk waiting near hotel to get around. Excellent restaurant and food. Tad expensive, especially soft drinks. Rooms are lovely lodges in the jungle - great surroundings. Room was cleaned regularly. Dimly lit room. Serene and quiet village vibe and... More

Sigiriya Village is a large resort run very professionally. If you like that sort, the place is perfect. if you like small hotels with personality and intimacy, this is not the place where you will find it. I traveled with friends who had their 12-year-old daughter. She loved the pool (I did too), and she was very happy for the... More

Location & ambiance is really nice but cottages we got were far from main reception area & not properly lit. It looks scary after sunset. There were weights put on bathroom drain & shower tray outlet that raises the suspicion of something "not good". Staff weren't very friendly and food was just "ok" type. It is advisable for honeymoon couple... More

The rooms are very dimly lit. We had to take the lampshades off to get a bit more light. Very clean though and big bathrooms. The paths are not well lit and we saw a snake lying right across the path one morning so take care. The monkeys are cheeky so don't leave anything on your veranda or it will... More

The staff were nice. Bedroom not luxurious or fancy. The floors in the bedrooms were full of dust and cobwebs. Bathroom average. Tea coffee provided in the room when you keep asking for it. Beds just okay. Over all the bedroom is not that comfortable. It's just okay. Food was average too. We had buffet breakfast, A la carte lunch... More

The hotel is located close to the Sigiriya Rock, and with a central lobby layout and chalet/village like rooms which you will have to walk to after checking in. The landscape is nicely designed, the rooms are clean with a spacious bathroom. It gets kinda dark if you're walking from your room to the lobby at night. The selection of... More

A warm welcome by a glass of fresh mixed fruit juice. Check-in procedure was pretty quickly and the staffs will help to deliver your baggage to your room, while you can enjoy walking to your room, in the midst of tall trees and get surrounded by butterflies. Listening to the wind breeze and feel it on your face, is definitely... More
