We arrived here after a long journey late in the evening ready for battle if everything wasn’t right. Thankfully we were disappointed and reception were extremely helpful and understanding. We were shown to our chalet room, No. 142, and after tidying up a little bit we went straight to the restaurant for our evening meal which fortunately they served up... More

Stayed three nights on tour of Sri Lanka. Essentially, the hotel comprises two open sided barn structures, which house the restaurant and the bar areas, whilst the rooms are semi-detached bungalows around the grounds. I had a spacious room, reasonably comfortable, although the nocturnal calls of the jungle denizens made me resort to my ear plugs, with not outstanding success.... More

We stayed there for two nights and it was good. The room was clean, nice and quite big. The bathroom was excellent with a wonderful shower. The breakfast and the buffet in the restaurant was very good and was changed from the one evening to the other. The surroundings are of limited interest, but the location is good for visiting... I stayed for four nights as part of a small group tour. The rooms we had were pretty basic, and I felt mine needed a complete refurbishment as the furnishings were stained in places, curtains not fully hooked. Bedside lighting was very dim such that you really couldn't read in bed. One beside light had no switch - you had... More

A good quality hotel based near the famous rock. Staff are always pleasant and helpful. Rooms clean and comfortable and we have always had a farewell message in flowers on our bed, a really nice touch. Stayed here for the first time just after the Tsnuami and it was very quiet,, a delight for us but not so good for... More

Feel like we are at the base of the great rock. Cool Green shady and bit old type building but once you sit to dine all will be chaanged. Good food with caring staff. Rooms are clean and specious. Your Chauffeur guide will get F&L but they charge small amount for meals. Also the pool will be a bonus in... More

The hotel is situation very close to the Sigiriya Rock and is a great place to stay if you want to explore Sigiriya and Dambulla. The rooms are self contained "chalets" that are clustered in the layout of a village. The entire hotel is spread out over a large area, with the rooms set well away from the main reception/restaurant... More

Can only comment on the deluxe rooms, which seem to garner consistently favourable reviews. The rooms are tastefully decorated, and the bathrooms are modern, clean and spacious. This is an eco-friendly hotel (apparently the oldest in Sigiriya?), hence the dimly lit walkways. The food was too salty for our liking - we found this to be true for Sri Lankan... More

Great location in Sigiriya, very close to Sigiriya Rock. The hotel consists of bungalows in park-like surroundings, and its a bit lit living in a botanical garden. On our first day, a group of monkeys came down from the threes and spent the afternoon on the hotel grounds. Our room was a bit smelly (humidity), but it didn't bother us... More

The food and staff at the hotel were excellent. there was plenty of choice at both breakfast and dinner and always well presented. The rooms let this hotel down badly. There is a walk on a poorly lit uneven path to get to the rooms. They are dark, smell damp and the towels are badly frayed. Our room also had... More
