We stayed 2 nights at this hotel in December, while exploring the areas. The rooms were a good size and very clean. The bathroom was very nice, with a very good shower. There was no wifi in the room, but there was free wifi in the lobby. The staff was unfailingly pleasant throughout our stay. We arrived at night, so... More

We stayed here for three nights in December 2013, a great base for visiting the Cultural Triangle. Our room was pleasant, the staff were sometimes a bit stand-offish but mainly friendly, we particularly enjoyed breakfast with a view of Sigirya Rock. Good value for money and well situated.

It's such a wild kind of experience. The hotel has a lot of animals in its environment...Don't worry they won't harm you. The rooms are really clean and so comfortable. The restaurant offered wonderful food and you can get free fast wifi in the lobby. My brother, a friend of mine, and I rented bikes and we went all around... More

After a long trip from Colombo to Sigiriya, we finally arrived to the Sigiriya Hotel. The staff was very nice. It was dark outside (and I loved how nice it was at night with the architecture) and I discovered the view of the Sigiriya Mountain just the next morning. What an amazing view! I wish I could have had time... More

This is an amazing place to visit. Back in the 90's it was where most Colombo crowd visited due to the friendly management headed by GM Nimal Sangakkara. What a man he was. It served delicious curries & lovely to have a drink viewing the rock. Now you can have nice walks in the evenings or on elephant back.

I have stayed at other hotels in the Sigiriya area, But Sigiriya Village is just that bit better. The ambience, the friendly and helpful staff, the rooms, the restaurant,Top marks to every department. The location is perfect,so close to Sigiriya Rock. Sitting in the garden near the pool with that magnificent Rock as a backdrop is memory I will have forever. Sigiriya... More

Good place. Close to the rock. Beautifully landscaped lawns and gardens. Access road is not great. A bit of a hassle finding the place, especially when you are driving in the night. We stayed there just for a night, so I don’t have more to say. Breakfast buffet was pretty good. Neat rooms and bathrooms. Overall good, but I feel... More

The hotel is set out in landscaped grounds that are attractive- but with most rooms a long walk from the restaurant area on poorly lit paths this is not ideal at night or when its wet. Food is internationally averaged out buffets, to cater for the large groups that stay here. Probably not the best choice in the area if... More

Loved this place! The accommodation and grounds were well maintained and brought about a sense of calm from the minute we arrived. The buffet was excellent and staff very attentive/friendly. Even though we didn't have enough time to enjoy the pool facilities, it looked very inviting. Anyone climbing the rock fortress in the morning would welcome a swim in the... More

Spent two nights at this hotel as part of a five day tour. Rooms were ok, but two inch gap under front door meant that all the insects had free access. My friend had ten little beetles in her bed in the morning ! Everything in the room felt damp, including the bedding. I appreciate this is a time when... More
