Stayed for two nights as part of a tour. Read the review about the entry road and the insects and lizards and thought oh dear. Got there and it was wonderful. Yes the road is rough but HELLO!! You are in a jungle. Yes there were little lizards about. YOU ARE IN A JUNGLE. private plunge pool in each room... More

Well, this must have been a lovely place once, but now it is tired and unloved! The only saving grace is the staff ( as in 99.9% of hotel staff in Sri Lanka) who were gracious, friendly and professional. The surrounding fauna and flora is wonderful and a ornithologists' paradise. The pool is about a mile away from the main... More

The setting is fantastic. We have stayed here a couple of times now and always found the place to be well maintained. Rooms are very spacious and offer all the necessary essentials. Pool suite is lovely for couples, but deluxe suite best for families. The plunge pool overlooking the jungle is wonderful. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Spa is... More

We must confirm the terrible experiences reported by some of previous travelers. The place could be very nice, and the original location well designed. But the site shows an absolutely poor management and organization: any stupid request seems to be a mission impossible for the personnel, even if you see dozens of them, apparently walking around doing nothing. No care... More

Stayed for only one night, close to Sigiriya which this hotel had a beautiful view of. Greeted kindly at the entrance, lobby was beautiful! Staff was great and very accommodating, ask them to tour the grounds - they're very knowledgable about the local wildlife and have amazing eyes! Stayed in the Presidential Villa - room & bathroom were very clean,... More

I read a lot of poor reviews from guests who had complained about insects. You need to check where you're going before you go. The hotel is spread across a large area of nature & wild, so expect insects, lizards & other tiny creatures, all throughout the year, but specially during the monsoon. We stayed amidst torrential rain, which was... More

The hotel is beautifully situated in the grasslands with lots of wildlife and a wonderful view of the Lion's Rock. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Any issues we had or questions were quickly and politely dealt with. It is close to the rock which is a fun climb with great views, the interesting caves in Dambulla and not... More

The pothole-filled driveway was a good indication of things to come at the Elephant Corridor. The rooms here are large, but haven't been maintained. The sheets and towels are old and have taken on a greyish hue with age. We had holes in our bed linen and were constantly removing lizard droppings from our beds as there was inadequate pest... This property is close to Sigiriya Fort (which is a Must See!!). It is 1km of dirt road off the main road that will take you 10 mins to drive. There are 21 huge suites, with sit outs and plunge pools for every suite. The gardens and property are well maintained but there is no WiFi in the rooms ..just in... More
