We went to grand regent for a afternoon meal for a group of 25. We had informed them prior about the coice of food and they had done wonders with the local dishes. We enjoyed the food. It was simple but tasted great. I did not get a chance to check the rooms. Their service is not star class but... More

We stayed for one night after being taken here by our driver. Room wasn't great, in need of a good refurb, staff weren't the friendliest and the bathroom was alive with ants by night time (and a frog! Ha). At 4500R it was expensive for what it was. Try and stay elsewhere if you can...

The room itself was quite decent with good aircon. Bathroom, however, was dirty and the shower was leaking. If you have a problem with insects this place is not for you. Restaurant prices were quite expensive, so we decided to eat elswhere. Breakfast was quite ok with pancakes, toast, fruit juice and egg.

As many before us, we have been brought here by our driver, so i guess its connected to a network of guesthouses of the same price range (20-25 euro per night). In itself the place is not bad, the location is nice but the last time they renovated was probably 10 years ago...Rooms are pretty run down and on our... More

We stayed here for one night as part of a round trip taking in most of the sites in 'The Cultural Triangle'. At face value, it's an OK place. It has a rustic feel to it and the little huts are pretty quaint. The rooms were of decent size and had a TV that appeared not to work. However, the... More

This place has a bit of the outdoor lodge to it, surrounded by vegetation and wildlife and would only recommend for those prepared to accept that. Pros - tasty food, would particularly recommend the Sri Lankan breakfast, effective air-con, friendly staff. Cons - small lizards running up the inside walls of the rooms and a frog in the bathroom may... More

We did have a/c, plus ceiling fan and hot water & TV. Cleans sheets & Mosquito mesh with some bigholes. 1 Bath towel & 1 face towel. The room was adequate for 1 night maximum. The meal prepared for dinner was terrible. The fish and the chicken had some type of ketchup slathered over with a cheese piece melted on... More

Taken here by our driver from Sri Lanka Car Hire. He did OK as he had boys to clean his car. Dirty sheets, broken box on the dirty toilet, shower did not work, basin cracked, hole dug for plastic bottles outside our windows. I ordered grilled fish which came swimming in a garlic sauce. Sent it back and it was... More

Our driver brought us there and the fact we decided to stay there was our biggest mistake in the trip. All night long we heard noise (probebly mice) in the a/c tunnels.thd generator stopped working at 21:00 and we had to ask them to turn it on(unless why did we pay for the a/c?) The bathroom was terrible, couldn't take a... More

Stayed here for one night (our driver choose this one) . The room looked ok at the first glance, but I was starting to feel bad when I saw the pile of garbage behind the room! Then the kitchen...it looked like a garbage place...but the prices...I wouldn't say anything but will add the menu card here for u to have... More
