We had a reasonable room for the price we paid, and it was clean. We did not use the pool although some families with children did. The restaurant was excellent. Staff were quick and efficient from adding an extra mosquito net to getting the bill ready. The over-all impression was of good management. Accommodation for drivers seemed good.

A nice hotel in the middle of the jungle, so much that we were awaken by monkeys jumping on the roof. The pool is nice and has a good childrens section. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially when we experiences one of the common electrical outages. The food was great and they helped making it interesting for our 3... More

The location of lion rock was excellent just 15 minutes away from sigirya or dambulla. However the experience was not that good. Given that the hotel is in the rain forest there is a lot of animals. Insects of any kind and a scorpion in the room. The mosquito net helped but did not fully make me feel comfortable. When... More

I just completed an excellent trip through Sri Lanka with a car and driver. I had started to travel independently but after three days in Colombo and a couple in Kandy I continued with a car and driver. It was the very best decision I could have made. The Lion Rock Hotel in Sigiriya was one of the places I... More

We stayed at this hotel for two nights while Touring Sri Lanka with our guide. Our guide had booked this hotel and made all the arrangements for us on a B&B basis. A lovely quiet cheap hotel in the middle ofn the jungle not far from teh Lion Rock in Sigiriya. The hotel only has 8 rooms in two blocks... More

We spent 2 nights here. The room was large with an extremely new bathroom. Everything was spotlessly clean & the beds were comfortable. the staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the location in the jungle as well as the small pool. Food was good - as with most guesthouses in Sri Lanka we were asked to order in... More

Only stayed one night. The rooms were large, basic and clean with mosquito nets. The double bed was comfy and the shower was large with strong water pressure and lots of hot water. The rooms on the first floor have nice balconies and there are monkeys in the trees. The hotel complex was quiet and a good place to relax.... More

Sigiriya is certainly one of the few truly exciting places to visit in Sri Lanka, despite the insane Government policy to charge US$ 30,00 from each foreign visitor who wants to brave the hundreds of steps that lead to the top of the rock. It would be possible to reach Sigiria during the day and leave in the afternoon, but... More

Breakfast very good, room very clean - near sigiriya rock and a good place to see the ancient cities. It is very easy to visit the Dambula Caves and polonnaruwa. I liked everything about this place. I recommend it.

Stayed here for two nights, it in a good location for seeing siguriya rock and the surrounding areas. The staff were always friendly and happy to help with anything we needed. Would recommend if you are looking for somewhere simple to chill at the end of the day.
