Cosy feel and very nice host who had excellent English and was really helpful. The room was clean and the AC was much appreciated. The mattress on our bed was brand new and very comfortable. Located in the centre of the village, ideal to for the restaurants for dinner. Only 10 mins walk to the entrance to Sigiriya.

We enjoyed our time staying at Flower Inn. The location is great, right in the middle of the village. Our room was spacious and we thought that it was good value. The only downside is that they don't serve dinner. They do serve breakfast, but it was only toast and tea/coffee, and we thought it to be overpriced. But luckily... More

This small personalised guest house is right in the heart of town and with only eight rooms offers a quite escape. Lovely host and good all round. Large airy rooms, big lounge area, leafy surrounds. Home away from home. Also one of the closest places to local cafes and rock entrance.

We got down at Sigiriya bus stop and went to the first place we could find and it turned out to be a very beautiful place run by a family. Since we were students travelling on a budget we had to bargain a bit. The place is very beautiful and green (it was accentuated by the rainy season). Just make... More

Guesthouse is in a good area of Sigiriya village, has a garden and rooms that are colourful but somewhat cheesy from all the old toys. Not that something was really wrong with this place. Its ok. However, every two steps we stumbled on something. Those little annoying details make up the stay too. When we were first shown into the... More

Lovely ladies running the hotel and fancy fun rooms! However my toilet seat was broken and the flush poor - they managed to keep that quiet until after payment! Also lack of wifi is disappointing! Good location near the rock and some decent cafes.

gorgeous chitsy decorations with flowers and cuddly toys, it was a great fun hostel. The family who run it are lovely and one lady spoke extremely good english and was so welcoming to our group. the local area has nice restaurants, bars and the famous sigiriya rock (10min walk away). breakfast is not served early enough though to eat before... This place has every basic things that you may need, especially the mosquito net. The owner (mother) was very nice and helpful, she even made a coffee very early in the morning around 4:30 am, just before I left to see the sunrise from Pidurangala (Note, they do not serve any food, not even coffee very early in the morning).... Stayed here at the end of March, seemingly towards the end of high season. Good rate (slightly reduced as I was travelling solo). No meals were on offer while I stayed. I assume this is because it was off-season. However, there are plenty of options just outside so this is not a problem. The room was simple and quite big... More
