We stayed there for 3 nights and enjoyed it a lot. It is a bit in the middle of nowhere, but this is the case for most hotels in this region. The food was very good. The bungalow was a bit too dark since one window did not have a glass so that the shutters had to be closed all... More

We stayed here for one night and had an amazing experience. As we entered the resort, there was a couple of peacocks in the garden area and we got overwhelmed with a safari-like feeling... The rooms are designed as cabanas. They were very neat and clean. The surrounding atmosphere with the low lighting was charming. Food is also delicious and... More

Ours was a repeat visit and hence had the advantage of knowing most of the staff. We went in late evening and enjoyed the wilderness surrounding the place. Saw a wild elephant coming out of the jungle as we just passed which was an unforgetable encounter giving us an adrenalin rush. There was a issue of concern when I was... More

We stayed here for two nights and loved it. The rooms are within individual bungalows set amongst the garden, with paths leading to the restaurant and bar area. The bungalows were spacious and good air con. Wifi not available in the bungalows, but readily working in the bar, pool and restaurant area. We loved being able to sit out on... More

We stayed in Kassapa Lion's Rock for a night. And we were happy it was only for one night. The rooms are all independent cabins furnished with beds, AC, TV, mini fridge and attached bathrooms. The shower area doesn't have a roof, although it is covered by a fine net that allows air and sunshine into the bathroom. Wifi is... More

We stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of our trip. The grounds are lovely and the rooms are nice. It was a shame that our double was two singles pushed together. I find that very annoying and uncomfortable. However, I didn't ask if we could swap rooms and I'm sure if I had they would have obliged if... More

We were pleasantly surprised at the room; it was large and well-maintained and had a huge open concept bathroom. Except that be prepared that when it rains, you get the rain coming in from the shower area and other insects too. A little frog paid us a visit; we think it came up from the bathtub. Food was decent and... More

We stayed here for two nights while we were visiting the local temples, ancient kingdoms and Sigiriya Rock. The hotel is peaceful, with the majority of buildings being single storey. The grounds are lovely, much of which is covered in trees and grass. There is a lovely swimming pool which was refreshing after a long day doing tourist visits. We... More

The entrance looks underwhelming, with a poorly maintained reception area. And the building work at the new wing (near 2nd pool) also creates some messy views. But apart from that mostly pluses, all keeping in mind the 3-star price level: * Spacious chalet-style room. Well isolated from the heat hence limited windows but that's common in the area. * Good...
