Palm Garden was the best part of my Sri Lanka trip. Amal, the owner, is a great guy. He picked us up from the bus station, organized trips for us, and helped us with our questions about planning the next trips. The place itself is beautiful. I got the room with a terrace, where I could exercise in the mornings... More

Throughout all my days in Sri Lanka, this is probably my favorite :)! The place is very peaceful, wifi was dependable, beautiful and quit place, room was big and mosquito net was huge :D! Highly recommend this place to anyone coming to Polonnaruwa! Owner also came and picked us up from the "bus station" P.S: Make sure to take advantage... More

Great place to base yourself from for seeing Polonnaruwa. The price was affordable and there was a nice buffet for dinner, friendly and funny owner. Good overall ambiance, and that likely attracted the other friendly travelers we met there. Hotel manager offered us bicycles which we would have loved to do if we'd spent an extra day. Polonnaruwa was gorgeous... More

The Guest House is located in a peaceful area and surrounded by nature and rice fields. The rooms are good and clean. The dinner's are really tasty and are usually in buffet style, so that you have a chance to get a good meal. The owner Ama is a surprisingly caring and kind man. He is not looking for a large... More

The first impression was very good, the room was clean, the food was good, the site beautiful and quite ...BUT ... after dinner the owner started drinking, around nine he was so drunk that he started dancing,... Acceptably clean and comfortable for a cheap guesthouse. The lady who seems to run the place was nice and friendly. Dinner in the garden was good. BUT the boss decided to blast out music from 10.30 to midnight. So if you like uninterrupted sleep I really can't recommend palm garden.

Our stay at the Palm Gardens Guest House was definitely one of the most enjoyable experiences that we had during our trip to Sri Lanka. We felt at home very quickly. The Rooms are clean, with good air con and with a nice outdoor seating area. The food is made from locally sourced ingredients, excellent quality and as everybody eats... More

We were picked up from the bus stop quickly by Amal, the owner. The room was fine, clean and the mattress good. The mosquito net over the bed though was only for a single bed so that was uncomfortable and useless the first night. The deal with the bicycles is Rs 300 for the duration of your stay so that...
