We stayed there in the middle of October for 3 nights and were satisfied with service. Room was fairly basic yet clean and bed was equipped with much needed mosquito net and strong enough fan (A/C rooms were also avaliable). Staff was really friendly, we could rent bikes from them and arrange safari tour. Also breakfast (traditional one) was top... More

We only spend one night here but even during this short time we really enjoyed the amazingly friendly staff (this place is under new management since September or October 2014!!!!) and great homemade food. The room was rather basic and the bathroom a bit on the shabby side, but you should always take into account what you pay for it... More

This guest house is NOT SAFE. The owner, Amal, is a psychologically unstable man who physically threatened and attacked my friends and me during our stay there. After drinking he attempted to lure away individuals from the group (all girls) in the middle of the night, became increasingly forceful, not even giving up when we grouped up for safety in... More

Myself and 15 other volunteers stayed here during the weekend 29th-31st August. On our second night the owner Amal became drunk and verbally abusive without provocation. His behaviour was erratic, he was shouting and pointing in our faces and tried to enter rooms without permission. He then became violent, pushing myself, grabbing my friend's hair, and hitting another friend in... More

Me and 8 other girls booked to spend a week-end here; with the owner, Amal, also arranging our day outs to the 'cultural triangle'. The first night and day was absolutely lovely, we had an amazing time. The rooms were fairly basic but there were clean so we were happy. On Saturday night after dinner Amal started drinking and his... More

We had a brilliant time in the day, the owner Amal seemed like the perfect host, until he started drinking. Without any provocation on our part, he became extremely aggressive, trying to push some of my friends down the stairs, hitting them and pulling their hair. We then had to hide in our rooms in complete fear, with a bed... More

This place should not even be open. The owner acted extremely aggressively towards myself and friends. Until the evening when suddenly his mood turned, he had been the perfect host for the day. Unfortunately this is obviously not a stable man and something - combined with alcohol - triggered a dangerous change of personality in him. He had not allowed... More

DO NOT STAY HERE: On first look this place comes across as being lovely. Nice rooms, nice food and a very helpful owner Amal. That is until Amal drinks. The man made my friends uncomfortable and in his drunken state this escalated to him attacking my friends he pulled their hair, pushed them downstairs and smashed through the windows to... More

DO NOT stay at this guest house. The owner is an aggressive man who attacked my friends and I without any provocation, whilst we were staying there. We had to barricade ourselves in our rooms whilst he smashed the windows trying to gain access. He hit, pushed and pulled hair of several of the group members. He was arrested for... More

We had a great stay in Palm Garden. It is a simple place, but clean and not expensive. Dinner was delicious, and very special with the other guests in the beautiful (palm) garden. You are not obliged to have dinner there, but please do! It is delicious! The guesthouse has also bicycles for rent: a great way to explore the... More
