The hotel was booked through a tour operator in Colombo the visit date is Nov.2013. We were taken to Kandy and N.Eliya by a coaster with guide. After visiting couple of sites on our way we landed at Senani Hotel in Kandy. It is a small but very clean hotel. The breakfast was on the house, simple but good. Staff... More

Senani hotel is situated in the reach part of Kandy, uphill. That means quite far away from Kandy places of interest, by no means a walking distance, although,it's very close to Arthur's Seat viewpoint. The room was good, clean and quite spacious. A big balcony with a pool and forest view was also nice. The views from the dining hall... More

This hotel was very good. Located up on the hill which gave you some great views. Not of Kandy itself but great views anyway. The restaurant had awesome balcony views where you could enjoy your breakfast or dinner. Rooms were clean and tidy with everything required for the basic traveller. Breakfast had a good combination of local and western foods.... More

Stayed here as a part of our Sri Lanka tour and this was easily the worst choice of all hotels that we stayed in. The location was on top of a hill with views of the Kandy lake. The restaurant manager had a stiff upper lip and acted as if he had never heard the word 'Vegetarian' in his life... More

We spent two nights at hotel with room overlooking pool which was ok size wise, clean and with basic facilities. Went looking for a restaurant but road not lit at all and quite busy so walked back to hotel and ate in restaurant. Buffet dinner acceptable but not as good as other buffets in similar standard hotels. Staff very pleasant... More

Stayed two nights, enjoyed Kandy especially Botanical Gardens and walking around city. Hotel facilities represent fair value for money consistent with our experiences elsewhere in Sri Lanka. Really appreciated all staff particularly the dining room manager who went out of his way to assist me with gluten free dining.

Our driver had booked accommodation here for us – a party of four. On arrival, it presented us with a pleasant entrance with a swimming pool near the front entry. However, it was soon brought to our attention that our rooms had been paid for by the car company at a rate of $140 USD rather than the $90 USD... More

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel. It wasn't our first choice, but we travelled during Chinese New Year so hotels were very busy in Kandy. We had two rooms as there were 5 of us (2 adults, 3 kids). The hotel was fine on the whole. There was building work going on, which was rather noisy at times but... More

Upon arrival in Kandy our driver took us to the Senani Hotel which was recommended by his boss. We had not researched the hotel and was not sure of the rates. The hotel looked old and tired. The room we were given was too small for 2 adults & 2 children. When the room fan was turned on it made... More

This hotel is a little way out of town, which is a good thing. Down town Kandy gets quite noisy and crowded and this place is just a few minutes by Tuk Tuk. The views from many rooms and the restaurant are lovely. The hotel is built down the mountainside, so some rooms are a LONG way down - many... More
