We enjoyed our stay at the Manor House and we got the undivided attention of the staff being the only ones (2 couples) at the time. Rooms pleasant in an old world type of way and the garden was full of bird life. Dinner was just OK but fairly cheap

Spent two days at Manor and enjoyed their hospitality, wonderful garden, very nice rooms and great breakfast. This is a really, really nice place. Beautiful garden with a nice pool in which you can swim. Nice old manor with wooden floors. Excellent and friendli staff. Around 10 mins from downtown, so car is required. However, peaceful and birds singing in... More

This property is not just a 'walauwa', it's historically one of the most notable ones in Sri Lanka. Stayed with others in March 2014 so had an opportunity to look at several rooms. All our rooms were good, though the 2 tower rooms are hotter (would probably need to have air conditioning on, personally I prefer just fan) and on... More

The good: A colonial mansion that has been restored to a high standard with beautiful gardens. The house is full of character and was great to visit, the owner has clearly put in a lot of effort and it has potential to be a fantastic hotel. I really enjoyed looking around the house and grounds. The garden is well tended... More

We stayed in the Manor House in Kandy for a couple of nights as a family of four. It is a lovely old building, set in attractive gardens with a small swimming pool - an oasis just a short distance from Kandy. It's been beautifully renovated recently to its original style, and exudes calm and serenity, with a fabulous feeling... More

We arrived at the hotel to the surprise of the care taking staff. They had obviously missed our reservation from the agent we booked with and therefore had no staff or food etc to accept guests. There were no other guests in the hotel and appeared no one else was scheduled to arrive. The building was gorgeously restored manor as... More
