I've travelled around Sri Lanka and visited many hotels from the less expensive end to the more exclusive. This hotel, by far had the worst service (especially when you consider the premium price of the hotel) it seems the staff ignore you at all times, at the reception, in the dining hall and around the pool. Its such a terrible... More

Beautiful views from hotel but service was terrible. Staff were rude and dismissive. They seemed to favour some guests over others. Nobody showed us to our room or offered to carry our bags. Had to ask for everything. Taxis extremely expensive.

We spent 2 nights in this peaceful spot with such wonderful views. Our room at the end of the corridor in the annexe was great with a balcony and an extra window. I suspect the other rooms are quite dark. The room was comfortable with an oversized king bed and usual facilities and a welcome fruit basket. The bathroom has... More

Pros: great view, relatively good food choice for vegetarians. Cons: Despite having stayed 3 times before, a shabby, viewless room was given. We were told that the hotel was full when we asked for a change of room. Only when we threatened to stay elsewhere were 2 more rooms with nicer views and decor shown. We eventually took one of... We stayed at this beautiful hotel for just one night and the view is the most amazing, absolutely breathtakingly beautiful from the lobby or reception area. The staff were friendly, food were fine, rooms very neat, but it was really very busy, with a huzzle buzzle of taxis till late at night and from early morning. But overall a pleasant... More

The best feature of this hotel is the amazing view across the hills from the bar terrace and open plan reception area. The swimming pool is large but quite chilly but has great views. The rooms were modern with good facilities though not huge. The room was in an annex to the main hotel and had a terrace with fantastic... More

We stayed at Amaya Hills to get a little bit of luxury after staying in a less desirable hotel in Kandy for two nights. The room was very well appointed and had a nice balcony with beautiful views down into the valley. The pool area was quite nice as well. Tip: If you want to avoid yet another buffet, just... More

This is my 4th or 5th stay at Amaya Hills, and this hotel just keeps on getting better. We originally planned for 01 night, but the stay has been just wonderful, that we extended it for 2 more nights! The staff is extremely nice and helpful, the rooms very clean and comfortable. After a long tiring day, this would be... More
