Excellent location….!!!! The place is look nice traditional view… We Went for a dinner. There services are good and Food was delicious, more than we expected… Very much enjoyed the soup and dessert. Still the price is reasonable for a dinner…I would recommend this place...

We were supposed to stay at the Queens hotel for 2 nights, but after the first night couldn't stay there any longer, left first thing in the morning, even though it costed us one night worth as the booking was prepaid. Ok,it is old,and it is not well kept at all,but why can't they at least keep it clean?? The strongest impression of... More

We stopped at the queens hotel dusty and dirty and muddy after a long motorbike trek through beautiful tea country, considering our previous stays in some less reputable places, prior to arrival the Queen's hotel was rather civilized in comparison. The building just screams "heyday highbrow", and that is where the magic lives, you can just imagine the people this... More

was on a trip to Sri Lanka with my wife. we booked this hotel way before our departure. it turned out to be worth every dollar we paid for it. we were immediately serviced after we arrived at the lobby, and check-in was smooth with a glass of cool and refreshing beverage. everything is with loads of history, from the... Was on a visit to Sri Lanka during the past month. The hotel has much history behind it. I think there has to be some way of informing the guests who arrive, the history of the hotel, the year built, the notable people who stayed there, etc. The restaurant service is buffet, with a lot a lot of options to... Not sure where to begin. The building is great, very historic and charming. That's generally the end of the good news. The staff are generally friendly, but incredibly disorganized and don't have a firm grasp on what good hotel service should be like. The rooms are fine, clean, but pretty basic. Maybe the luxury suites are better, but my room... More

The Queen's Hotel was in an excellent location to the Lake View. We had dinner at the restaurant the which was delicious but very expensive by Asian standards. The rooms were very comfortable & the staff were very friendly. I would definitely stay here again. If i go Sri Lanka

This is a 2 star hotel that was built by the British. It has a colonial appearance and very historic but it is in need of a complete refurbishment. The rooms look very tied inside and are not particularly well maintained. Superficially the hotel looks great on the outside but quite disappointing on the inside and as stated, is in... More

Warm ish welcome, lovely public areas and the old building is gorgeous and grand. A highlight was seeing a proper SriLankan party at the hotel. The location its self couldn't before central. We chose a bigger room because of the bigger bed and expected road noise.(as a posed to a smaller room overlooking the pool). However it wasn't the road... More

The location is excellent right across from the main tourist spot. We had slow elevator rides, and noise through the thin single-pane windows, but this is worth it for such a historic building with high ceilings, hardwood floors and oversized stand-alone bathtubs. While the lobby carpeting is nearly ready for a refit, there's not much else that should be changed... More
