Well, to be honest, there's not much more I can add to the excellent and well deserved reviews already posted here on tripadvistor! My husband and I stayed with Sujatha and Roney for three nights and we couldn't have asked for a better introduction to Sri Lanka, it's wonderful people and amazing food. They were a mine of information on... More

I can not recommended Sujatha's Homestay highly enough. Comfortable clean accomodation. Delicious home cooked breakfast. Welcoming, friendly and informative hosts. Thank you for you hospitality. A must stay in Kandy in beautiful surroundings away from the busy town area.

We stayed at sujatha's homestay in August 2014 and we can highly recommend this place. Breakfast is excellent and you feel welcome from the very first minute. In addition you get plenty of info from the owners who speak English as their mother tongue language. When we decided to continue our travel with a driver, Ronny helped us a lot... More

There should be an extra gold star for places like this! We stayed 4 nights in July and it was absolutely the best place we could have stayed. I have been to Kandy before and stayed in town which was very noisy. The house is slightly out of town but Sujatha arranged a tuk tuk driver to pick us up... More

We only stayed one evening here, but the hosts of Sujatha's make you feel like part of the family! Upon arrival, we were greeted with tea and welcoming smiles- which went down nicely considering our long arduous trek to get to Sujatha's. The home is impeccably kept and the bedroom we were given had a wonderful balcony overlooking the grounds.... More

I stayed at Sujatha's homestay for 2 days and 2 nights. The house belongs to a very warm and pleasant couple , Ronnie and Sujatha, who ensures that you have a perfect stay. The room given to me, which used to be their daughter's room (she now stays in Dubai ) was a spacious double bedded room (they don't have... More

The host are so reliable! Although the guesthouse is a little far away from Kandy town, they can help you arrange tuktuk or taxi to any place you want to go. You can ask any questions and will receive helpful answers.Their house is clean and spacious, the little garden is adorable. Every morning you can enjoy the breakfast the host... More

This is indeed a homestay, where you are welcomed into their home by the lovely couple Roney and Sujatha. The room was spacious, well decorated, and had all the creature comforts one could want. I had the room on the upper floor which also had a long balcony to relax in. The room was not airconditionned, a small negative because... More

While a little way out of Kandy this is the place to stay! Careful directions for our driver, and Ronnie and Sujatha have excellent contacts with 3 wheeler drivers. Within 30 minutes of arriving we were on our way to the Kandy dancers, the temple of the tooth relic and dinner in town! Informed conversation, delicious home cooked food and... More

There is no reason to stay anywhere else in Kandy! We found this wonderful guesthouse run by Sujatha and Roney to be the best of our whole trip around India and Sri Lanka. Sujatha and Roney are both wonderfully kind-hearted, intelligent, interesting people who are full of worldly conversation and tips on the city too. They have perfected the very... More
