Visited here this week and spent few nights. 4km outside Kandy town, really good and polite service. We also got few rides to the city for free and the pick up from the railway station was 250rs which ia cheaper than with normal tuk tuks. We ate at the restaurant in both nights and the rice&curry was brilliant. Same thing... More

Staff couldn't be more helpful - both in the villa and helping us arrange trips. They picked us up from Colombo airport for a reasonable amount (under £50) and the driver was happy to stop whenever we asked on the way. The villa is near a stunning lake, and it's near the Temple of the Tooth.

We spent two nights at this hotel. Our tour guide had arranged us to stay here on B&B basis. The hotel is tucked away out of the city on a hillside so the views are amazing, room was clean and reasonable size, however we didnt have hot water on the second night but not a big issue. While we where... More

I am giving this review 4 stars solely based on the service extended by staff at Kandy Villa - specifically Nishant and Vigneshwaran. Their genuine touch to everything - helping us sample Sri Lankan food (esp. yummy sambol) and culture, making rasam for us, letting us be when necessary, entertaining us with stories - left a lasting mark in our... Stayed here 2 nioghts and found it to be great. The location outside of Kandy means it is a little quieter. Staff were very helpful, even preparing a sandwich an coffee for me outside restaurant hous. Breakfast and dinner are included in the cost. Meals were excellent, they even prepared Sri Lankan curry for me as I prefer local food... More

This is a family run villa. Rooms are small, toilet is awkwardly oriented. room lights are so dim that one can't see one's face in the mirror properly. Food needs to be pre-ordered since there is no running kitchen or buffet available. Some rooms don't have the views. There is glass on top of the doors through which the lobby... More
