I'm not really sure what to say about this place. Quite honestly, I wanted to leave immediately after seeing the room. However, the place grew on me (or I just adapted quickly because we didn't have another option). Room: Our room was off of the dining area, no natural window, dank bathroom with ants. It was clean enough (with hot... More

A quiet retreat from busy Kandy. Showers are basic with little or no hot water. But food and service is EPIC. Beds are good. Monkey's are worth it! Eating breakfast with them every morning. 10 minute walking distance from temples.

The view from the place is overrated since there is ugly building between the guest house and the forest. breakfast was great and the service friendly. the rooms could use some paint. the family room we stayed in was nice as it was down away from the dining hall. for us rooms in facing the dining hall would be horrible... We stayed here for 2 nights. The places seems to a long way out of town by tuk tuk but that's just because of the one way road system. It's actually only a pleasant 10 min stroll down to the temple of the tooth relic by the lake. The room was basic but fine. There are family of monkeys hanging... More

We stayed there for 3 nights. We had been travelling around Sri Lanka for a while and were pleased to find rooms with a good en-suite that had great amenities. We also learnt to cook 5 beautiful curries (the mighty dhal included) and received an amazing welcome. We hope we can return to Sri Lanka soon and if we do,... More

We really enjoyed our stay in this friendly guesthouse with beautiful view to the woods and monkeys at the balcony. The owners and the manager were very helpful and made us feel welcome during our short stay. They also organise daytrips for fair prices, and you can get tickets to the famous kandy dance performance, which is definetly worth to... More

Our room was cozy with a small bathroom attached and everything was clean. The guest house has a beautiful view and there are many balconies where you can sit, relax and watch the birds and monkeys. It's about 20 min walking from the entrance of the temple of the tooth. Breakfast was delicious and you can always ask Cusum to... More

Though only 10 min by tuk tuk from the city centre of Kandy the Green Woods fulfills the imagination which comes with its name: from the balcony you look across to a giant wall of green forest. As I understand the guesthouse is a Mecca for birdies, but even we, without any special interest in birds, enjoyed our stay and... More

The guesthouse is in a very nice location between trees, a short walk from the town center (it's nicely quiet there). The common area is very nice, room was pretty basic with a bathroom begging for a facelift. Hot water in the rooms and free wifi included. Cooking is only breakfast, for dinner we were referred to the Bamboo Garden... More
