The most magical of settings, arriving at Jungle tide was like taking a few steps closer to heaven. Many new lifetime memories have been created over the last two wonderful weeks at Jungletide. In particular sitting on the verandah listening to thunder and watching lightening set the sky on fire. While just under us on the lawn, tiny fireflies captivated... More

If you don't mind driving for nearly 50 minutes from Kandy along a narrow and increasingly bumpy 'road' to find a piece of heaven, then Jungle Tide is for you. A delightful bungalow, set in the hills among tea plantations and forest, this a great centre for relaxing, bird watching and walking. When the heat gets too much, just retreat... More

We have just returned from two weeks at Jungle Tide. It was perfect both as a location in itself and as a base for exploring The fascinating country that is Sri Lanka. Jungle Tide itself is a well conceived, beautifully built guest house set amongst tea plantations up in hill country, where the climate is comfortable, the scent of spices... More

In early January 2015 we were lucky enough to start our holiday here , we had 7 lovely days here, jungle tide is high up in a tea plantation, so it is very tranquil, with amazing views. Walking in the surrounding tea plantations has to be the high Light of the trip, (take a bottle of water with you!) if... More

We had just a wonderful 3-days stay at Jungle Tide in December and we simply loved it! This place is just a heaven for people who are looking for total relaxation and peace. It is located in a beautiful scenery, very quiet but still with not far from Kandy city. During our stay it was unfortunately mainly raining, so we... More

I spent a week at Jungle Tide walking in the surrounding tea estate but not venturing any further. Highlights were early morning tea and breakfast on the verandah, watching birds in the late afternoon. A mongoose appeared most early mornings. The Sri Lankan food was good and there was plenty of it. Martin and Rani, the hosts, gave a warm... More

We and a group of 6 friends used Jungle Tide as a base for our first visit to Sri Lanka. The property is beautifully situated with fantastic views and extremely comfortable. The welcome from the housekeepers, Martin and Rani, was exceptionally warm. Their objective is to make your stay as comfortable as possible and they succeeded beyond expectation. We recommend... This is a lovely place to stay, the house is clean and comfortable, there are books to read, CDs to listen to, views across to Knuckles range, it is right inside the tea estate where you can walk for miles, there are birds, monkeys, snakes!, frogs, lawns, flowers, a swimming pool, a verandah to sit on..... Martyn and Rani the... More

Beautiful Property in the middle of a tea estate. The road is slightly rough through the tea estate however was worth it. The property has amazing views on all sides. The managers Martin and Rani were really warm and prepared really awesome food for us. Will definitely return on my next trip to Kandy.

Yes, the journey up the poor road is a challenge but what greets you on arrival makes it truly worthwhile. Brilliant accommodation that wouldn't be out of place in a major western city, awesome food and the Managers, Martin and Rani's hospitality can not be faulted. We spent 5 days at Jungletide, lots to do in Kandy so we went... More
