You should never read reviews when you are due to go to a resort because you begin to wonder if you've made a mistake in your choice of hotel, well I have never been so happy that was not the case this time! First impressions of the hotel, after we arrived late at night, because Emirates had lost 2 of... More

A long covered walkway through extensive grounds lead into this hotel, sides open to the elements let a cooling breeze blow through.low rise buildings that allow the hotel to blend into the environment Suite sized bedrooms with large double bed and separate seating area gives a feeling of spaciousness. Good size bathroom with standalone bath and shower. Shower was a... More

Checked in with my family on the 23/12/2014 for what was to be a 6 night stay. Unfortunately we found the 2 rooms over looking the pool to be damp and smelt of mildew. This made sleeping very difficult as you had to keep the air conditioning on all night to dry out the room. Service was slow at lunch,... More

We came here for our annual office trip and it was an enjoyable experience. Our baby started crying soon as we entered the hotel and the staff was quick to notice this and allocated our room first. Also the one of the staff personally accompanies us and also showed a shortcut to the room to get their fast. The buffet... More

We stayed 5 nights during Christmas 2014 and we enjoyed it very much. Clean towels every day, no request was too much. From Cabana restaurant, the cook gave me the recipe from their Royal King Crab curry and when I left my wallet in the hotel room, after we left for the airport, they did everything to have it send... We choosed Royal palms at Kalutara based on some positive reviews but during the stay we realized the reviews would have been subjective and it was a very bad experience. I hv visited Sands before which is much better comparing with Royal palms although tripadvisor ratings are low. Here are the minor and major concerns we had Room wasnt clean... More

Stayed two nights here. Beautiful hotel with beautiful beach. Rooms are average spacious but nice and clean. When it comes to food, it is good but not excellent I must say. Specially the desserts. Staff is great and very helpful specially the front office. Many thanks for that.

I came for a stay at the Royal Palm Beach Hotel on 20th December for a two night stay on half board basis. The start itself was bad as they took one hour to give us the room. The usual excuse was that the rooms were not ready. Why have a check-in time of 2PM if you cannot stick to... More
