There is no doubt that a stay here is a stay with nature. As you settle into sleep after escaping the Mosquitos, you are fired to question whether you are sleeping amongst the wild cats..or just late night employees mopping...inside your room. Expect to be pounced on at every meal, mouth full, and asked to pay your bills... Each beverage... More

Spent 2 nights at Pelwehera Village Resort in December 2013. The accommodation is medium standard; rooms and especially bathrooms need some upgrading. For eg in the shower, there is no shelf or space for soaps, you literally need to put those on the floor. Furniture is quite old, there is no safe. There was no hair drier, we asked for... More

In our Sri Lanka Tour itinerary this was the third hotel were we had a short stay. You cant help comparing the facilities and incidentally the previous hotels were we stayed were much superior (for the same price). Even if I dont compare there are some obvious observations, Rooms are window less thus lack freshness, completely glazed front wall takes... More

We have recently stayed 2 nights at Pelwehera. The hotel is located close to the main road but our room was quiet. Lovely gardens. Our room was spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable. Swimming pool was almost by the main road but it was clean and big. Breakfast included in the rate was a simple set menu. Cordial juice, bread... More

We spent our 1st 3 nights here after a long flight. The hotel is pleasant enough, on a main road, but fairly quiet. Staff very friendly, rooms pleasant. Hotel was very quiet and the food was generally pretty bland. No complaints.

This hotel was booked for us by our guide Sam Lanka tours, a really nice man and recommended. The view of the rice field over the garden is nice, it is close to the main road but it was fine. It is away from town but I don't think there's much to see. If you like an afternoon stroll this... More

Staff are super friendly, the place is well laid out and clean. The food was fine. In a mid range hotel it's the little things that let this place down. A small investment in new towels, new bed linen and mattresses would give this place a real boost. My back is still recovering from the three nights we spent there.... More

We went there on a family trip. Had 2 kids 3 and 8 yrs. Location is next to the main road but facing paddy fields. Not noisy. Garden is well kept except for the run down garden chairs which need urgent attention of the management. What we got was a triple room from the old wing. Room was clean. Good... More

Received the refreshments as step down car, and then boys took over luggage and directed to our room 201..the resort was superb, wooden restaurant and I liked that style..then enter our double room where the bed well decorated as you can see in pics..... I cannot understand how some travelers do not rate this place. Compared to some of the other 3 star hotels that we stayed at around Sri Lanka this resort deserves 4 stars. Ok its not the Marriot- but it more than met our standards. We stayed one night, went toTrincomalee and then came back for a second night. Why ?... More
