We stayed here for two nights and particularly enjoyed the pool and gardens. Staff were friendly and attentive but service was a bit erratic, like so many hotels in Sri Lanka. Room had a balcony and vapour mats provided. Apart from some road noise the setting is pleasant.

Myself and 16 travel companions stayed at this surprisingly shady oasis just outside of Dumbulla and on the way to Sigiriya. Even though close to the connecting highway it's really quiet and inviting of rest, relaxation and friendliness. The excellent swimming pool is a boon after a hot day of climbing and exploring the local sights. The staff can't be... More

We were there only for a lunch while travelling on our company trip. They have given a good price and it was reasonably good. Bug buffet with many options and two deserts including welcome drink. Pelwehera got a good garden with nice swimming pool. There were questions that pool is maintained well, but we couldn't have time to use it.... More

Nice hotel with a large natural garden (interesting flowers and also plenty of small animals you can watch from your balcony). The big pool is really enjoyable after the trips nearby to Dambulla/Sigiriya/Anuradhapura. Staff is very friendly and the rooms are clean and well-equipped, food is varied and tasty so I definitely recommend it for a short/long stay.

Rooms are quite big and clean. The hotel garden is really nice. The pool is big and has also a deeper end (you can dive in it) The only downside is that there are rooms that are facing the road, during the day you can hear some traffic, but during the night it's quiet.

The place was awesome. This place is a stay with nature. It is a good place to relax and rest before and after a hectic climb up and down Sigiriya. The food was okay. The location was excellent. The only complaint is the pool. It gave us hundreds of nicks and cuts. I like that place a lot. Very Good!

There is no doubt that a stay here is a stay with nature. As you settle into sleep after escaping the Mosquitos, you are fired to question whether you are sleeping amongst the wild cats..or just late night employees mopping...inside your room. Expect to be pounced on at every meal, mouth full, and asked to pay your bills... Each beverage... More

Spent 2 nights at Pelwehera Village Resort in December 2013. The accommodation is medium standard; rooms and especially bathrooms need some upgrading. For eg in the shower, there is no shelf or space for soaps, you literally need to put those on the floor. Furniture is quite old, there is no safe. There was no hair drier, we asked for... More

In our Sri Lanka Tour itinerary this was the third hotel were we had a short stay. You cant help comparing the facilities and incidentally the previous hotels were we stayed were much superior (for the same price). Even if I dont compare there are some obvious observations, Rooms are window less thus lack freshness, completely glazed front wall takes... More
