Serene and nice resort. Good place for people looking for very quite time. Rooms can be free of lizards but nothing serious, the issue was taken care immediately. It is too quite for family with kids. It would be great place for couples and honeymooners.

The garden area and location was good and spacious. However, the rooms were somewhat lacking in comfort. The fan was noisy and the AC was a little run down. However there was a nice garden with fruit and vegetable trees. And it was very green.

One night stopover at Thilanka resort in Dambulla is pleasant. Nothing to brag about, food was good and the garden was excellent, with lot of mango trees planted. Rooms were bit rundown needs refurbishment. Fittings like fans and A/C noicy. Central location and environment. Cower to Dambulla Rock about ten minute drive.

Food is basically good and staff is very friendly. Sad that your plantation produce is not totally organic. Was told that nobody use the room plunge pool, therefore need time to clean up and to fill up water is very slow. Aircon and fan very noisy. TV is too old. With all these considerations, it doesn't justify the high hotel... More

Warm welcome on arrival after long journey from UK. Hotel arranged pick up at airport and for us to have same guide for duration of our stay. Check in was quick and relaxed. Room was perfectly appointed, beautiful grounds in a heavenly setting. Food was fine, would have been nice to see more Sri Lankan options available. Service was faultless,... More

VERY poor. Cockroaches on the floor of the reception. VERY difficult to connect to the wifi and very slow when, after half an hour, we did connect. Dinner was inedible apart from the fruit. Very, very bad. Rooms are outmoded with simple polished concrete everywhere. No noise isolation and birds tapping on the windows together with the insect noises meant... More

Wow!! Beautiful setting, beautiful gardens, spacious and private rooms, the staff are friendly and be prepared to "talk" cricket.. Being South African, led to many discussions about the game. A very good location to for day trips to Sigiriya and Polonoruwa.

From the moment we arrived the staff were friendly and professional, great customer service. The best pool imaginable and incredible grounds were they homegrown all the produce served in the delicious restaurant. Attention to detail is faultless - mum and I were sad to leave!!!

The hotel design is unusual with the pool reaching right into the lobby! The rooms are huge and extremely comfortable. The staff friendly and welcoming. The buffet is not as good as some I have experienced in Sri Lanka and as usual its much better to stick to the Sri Lankan food. Good location for visiting Dambulla.

This place is simply paradise. The only downside is leaving - oh, and not being taken for a drive in the Jalopy! There's a cricket green, bright blue iridescent kingfishers, monkeys, peacocks, a river, amazing staff and a good bar. The food wasn't great but who needs to eat in paradise - Sri Lanka at her very very best. The... More
