Stayed at Amaya Lakes during our cricket tour in Sri Lanka. This place has character, the people are friendly the rooms are nice and the food is 5 star. I would highly recommend this resort if you ever visit Dambulla in Sri Lanka.

Stayed at the Amaya Lake for 3 nights during my 10-day stay in Sri Lanka. The hotel lies off the shores of the lake, which is very beautiful, but you might meet some bugs. Staff very kind and helpful, the food was very good (you' re in Sri Lanka...). Rooms were very comfortable in a pure local environment (trees, flowers... More

I stayed at the Amaya Lake for 3 nights with my sister during our 2 week stay in Sri Lanka. We had previously stayed at the Amaya Hills hotel and were disappointed with many aspects during our stay so were apprehensive about our stay here with it being the same hotel group. The hotel is larger than the Amaya Hills... More

Checked in the room #5 on 24th of September. We discovered some ants in the room. We told to reception that the insects are in the room. Instead of changing the room they gave us insects killer spray. In the morning we woke up - that was awful - hundreds of ans in the bags, in all clothes, on the... More

This was another two night stay on our honeymoon and I wouldn't go back again. We arrived late after a long drive from Colombo airport. What struck me when we arrived to our "Cottige" was the geko's that ran to hide when we entered the room. And after complaining and spraying the room we had a band of geko's singing... More

The Amaya Lake has several small cottages in a large domaine. We shared 2 adjacent 'rooms' in cottage building with our children. We stayed here for 2 nights. Very nice rooms with a separate sitting area (no wifi in the room, only in the bar). Bathrooms were cleaner than most of the other bathrooms we experienced during our Sri Lanka... More
