We were there as a company trip and so far this is the best hotel (other than boutique hotels) I have been in Sri Lanka. Rooms spread in large area with electric vehicles to travel. Nice scenery with Kandalama lake nearby. All the rooms are covered with nice garden of trees and lots of birds too can be seen. Good... More

Open plan reception bar and restaurant overlooking a lake. Unusual individual bungalow style rooms in traditional Sri Lankan style and decor. Very spacious and clean rooms . Good selection of food from the freshly cooked buffet . Attentive and friendly staff . Pool clean and open until late.

Went there for a vacation . Extremely satisfying experience. Felt like bliss. very close to the lake and rooms / villas are every well appointed. Lot of place to walk around. The food in the buffet restaurant was a very good. The Swimming pool also was big enough. Free WIFI could be a very big help to tourists.

The hotel is very beautiful with very nice backgroung bordering to the Kandalama lake. We stayed in 'Signature by Amaya' which is situated in the same hotel area of this hotel. The only specification was that the room size is much bigger than the average and the price is higher. he room was nice but not worth for the money.... More

Amaya Lake is situated in a wonderful place by the Kandalama Lake. One of the best places to relax with the wind coming across the Lake, silent and calm. The grounds are beautiful and plenty of place to play and for walks. We stayed at a club Lodge which was at the far end of the Hotel land. Absolute stress... More

We stayed for two nights allowing us to explore the local area. The rooms were a good size, bed comfortable. Disappointed in the bathroom as we couldn't leave the door open, the shower cubicle was very small and ours leaked as well as quite dirty grout. We also had a continual ant trail, so unable to leave our toiletry bags... More

We visited Amaya Lake with kids and we were favorably impressed. The grounds were beautiful and big enough for walks, the view over the lake and its wildlife was amazing, the restaurant was varied and plenty, and the service was friendly and on the spot. Highly recommendable!

It is a great place where every thing is perfect except service. I stayed for two nights in a luxury room and the poor service is noteworthy. I made it a point to write the exact experience in the comment sheet so that they would improve it since it is the service that should create value to make us feel... More
