We arrived around 7 and the sun had already set.stayed here for 2 nights. (+) Hotel service was really fast, i discovered ants on my pillow and within a minute they had someone change the pillows with warm fresh sheets! Staff are friendly The room's interior in my opinion is very unique and spacious. Wide variety of food during breakfast... More

On our tour (Dec 2014) through Sri Lanka we stayed at Amaya Lake Hotel for 2 nights. The room was clean and nice, the staff was friendly and helpful (a problem with the AC was solved immediately). Breakfast (buffet) and pool were very good. We made the tour with showlanka travel agency. All our wishes were fullfilled. The price was... More

I have spent three nights in this wonderful resort. Location is perfect to visit Anuradhapura, Sigirya and Polonnaruwa. The resort has a nice swimming pool and a huge park, so you can swim or have a stroll depending on what you feel like doing. Very quiets and stylish rooms. Very good restaurant and service. You will like it!

I would definitely not reccomend this hotel. The quality of rooms are very substandard. They have twin beds put together instead of a queen/ king, the blankets were old and itchy. the bathroom door was too big for its frame and would'nt close! The service is abysmal as well. The staff is very unhelpful and unresponsive. It was raining the... More

Therapy for all--young and the older habitants . Pool was great. Great hideout -just to be away from the hustle and bustling of the city and smog . The blend of food and selection was just right. culinary display goes well with the eco-friendly -no waste environment. Well maintained rooms and bath-rooms. Typical bungalow-roomed ( singled ) style each having... More

My family and I stayed at Amaya Lake for 2 nights and had a great time - the bungalows were lovely and the surroundings just surreal. We enjoyed a buffet dinner on a first night with a delicious selection of foods from around the world - though we are always more interested in the local cuisine than 'western' food. Breakfasts... It's hard to reach amaya lake..This was previously called culture club and had an awesome management. Although the hotel has improved in quality, the staff friendliness and the food quality has surprisingly gone down. This hotel has a beautiful view of the lake and the environment is maintained pretty well. Golf carts are used to travel from room to the... More

I planned two weeks before to celebrate my husband's birthday at amaya lake. So i called them and got information about lunch prices and everything. So as i planned yesterday (9th) first we climbed sigiriya. then we went to the Amaya.. but in the main entrance, the security officer did not allow us to enter to the hotel. He kept... More

The hotel charged us for almost twice the amount that we had reserved initially. The manager was extremely rude and not apologetic at all. Here merely laughed off at our protests - blaming Booking.com. Never seen such behaviour in any hotel, motel or hostel during my travels. Other than the awful manager, the staff are OK and the hotel accommodation... More

I had been to Amaya Lake with my family in December 2014. It is a beautiful resort nestled in Dambulla. The rooms are fantastic cottages with state of art amenities. The staff is extremely courteous. The resort is nestled on the banks of a beautiful lake. There is greenery all around and a lot of squirrels too! The food offered... More
