My husband and I stayed here for one week. The service was absolutely brilliant and the staff fulfilled you every wish. The hotel is set at a beautiful lake and it's location within the country is great when you want to visit the old cities like Anuradhapura or Pollonaruwa and climb the rock of Sigiriya. We had a fantastic tuk... More

We stayed 4 days in this hotel. The first room was a lodge that was unsatisfactory. Fortunately we could change it for a villa that was excellent and clean. Beautiful gardens. Good variety of food during breakfast and dinner. Wine prices affordable This hotel is quite secluded. Friendly personnel. Wifi only near the hotel lobby.

Amaya Lake Hotel has a huge garden, we loved the mystic athmosphere at the lake, the beautiful bungalows, the friendly staff, the squirrels, the birds, the flowers, great pool area, everything! This is one of the most wonderful hotels in the world, and I have been in 81 countries. All staff were very friendly, at reception, room cleaners, the guards... More

I don't know why people rank this hotel to Excellent. Nice location and the clean comfortable rooms. But the service was terrible. Had worst experience in my life in the dining area. Dirty plates and spoons all over the tables. Staff don't want to clean those mess. Had 3 meals in the dining area. All the time it was same.... More

This was our 3rd stay at Amaya Lake and it was excellent yet again. Ideal location, superb service and peaceful surroundings are the main reasons we return every time! oh and of course the food! We stayed at a superior room which was newly refurbished and was in excellent condition. Hotel provides many activities and you are never bored here.... More

The second hotel on our honeymoon tour and we were not disappointed. 3 nights at Amaya really introduced us to the best Sri Lanka has to offer. We had to change our room as there was an Ants nest in the air con unit, but without any fuss or questions they changed our room. It took 20 mins which was... More

Great hotel to get away from the noise of everyday life. Staff were friendly and accommodating, with a special mention to chef Lal who went above and beyond his duties to ensure my family and I were content, and have everything we wanted food-wise. Rooms were comfortable and spacious, and the layout of the hotel was novel. Great little walk... More

This hotel does not live up to its reputation at all. For the price you pay I expected a lot more. The service was not good at all - you have to wait a minimum of an hour for your food if you do not order off the buffet. The buffet breakfasts were good, but I've never been a fan... More

The drive from Colombo to Dambulla was a stressful 5 Hours + due to Road Upgrades going on from Ambepussa onwards. This will certainly improve once the Road Works are completed & a planned new Expressway to the area is also added. An Excellent, Peaceful Getaway from the Hustle & Bustle of the Concrete Jungle. Acres of Beautifully Laid out... More
