Start with negative mindset... Since checking process got more than 30 minutes We stayed in Delux double room for 1 night on FB basis. Room and lavatory were very clean and having comfortable space. Garden is nicely maintained. Kids have ample space to run around. Having a kid’s play area also badminton court and tennis court. Pool and surrounding were... More

Amaya Lake Resort is a charming place deep in the green of a beautiful park, aside the Kandalama lake near Dambulla. The rooms are spread in a number of bungalows, and the ensemble looks quite colonial. Additional facilities are: swimming pool, tennis, badminton, tree house, tourist shop. Friendly and attentive staff, clean rooms. Food is good and with enough variety... More

Place is a really nice place, lovely surrounding. Food is bad sometimes, not much of variation on food items , small hotel could do better than that !. And special note on the pool high level on clorine people got sick of this. Worst part comes for customer service, really bad, people don't come this far to see to see... More

Positives are, hotel has beautiful surroundings. It has kids play area, tree house, lake besides the mountain range, tennis, badminton and lot of play area. Staff is quiet friendly and attentive. Rooms were clean. Negatives: Standard lunch buffet was very average and basic curries were also not tasty. When I ordered a simple dhal curry without any chillie for my... More

Do not recommend to visit Amaya Lake especially in the 50% off season. They are only good at attracting the customers but very poor in providing a quality service. During the buffet time it’s packed with people and had to hang around for a long time to find a place, when I went to serve my desert my place is... More

Went there for a one night stay with office staff. This was the second visit to the hotel hoping to enjoy the quality service received in the first visit in 2012. Shocking to stay we had to stay nearly one hour at the reception to get our room ready. No one apologized for the inconvenience caused. There was one lady... More

The hotel outlook is great. Alot of space to wander around the nicely trimmed grounds. Ayurveda treatment excellent. Food very good. Staff gracious and helpful. We booked a deluxe room which did not meet our expectations. We were shown the luxury rooms just when we were leaving. They are gorgeous. If I have to visit the place again, I would... More

I visited Amaya Lake on 23rd August 2014 with my team. One of the terrible hotel I have ever visited in Sri lanka. In a country that tourism is treated as a main stream of economy. My check in time was 1.00PM and they were able to provide the room at 3.30PM, keeping me waiting for more than 1.5 hours in lobby....
