We have spent 2 nights in this little guesthouse. This guesthouse is just in front of the bus stop to go to sigiriya. The room is clean and cheap, the place very quiet. The owner is very Nice and has good advice. This is a very good adresse even if you want to go to sigiriya

Tuck tuition driver recommended the place. The owner and his family are extremely helpful and friendly, gave us good advice on day trips and buses, let us use their washing machine and made us feel very comfortable. Even though it's a ten minute walk into the centre, it's definitely a great place to spend a couple of nights. The rooms... More

This is a tricky one to review as the owner was so lovely, friendly and helpful but I didn't like the room. I suppose it was ok for the price-$2000 rupees but I would rather pay more for a better room. It had been cleaned but was still grimy and the bathroom smelt fusty, although they did light incense which... More

The Takeshi Inn owner makes staying here an easy rest. Very accommodating, he met me at the bus stop, gave me the exact times to take the local bus to Sigirya, and when leaving insisted I go to town with him and get on the bus sooner hopefully ensuring a seat. The Takeshi Inn is a 15 minute walk from... More

We stayed here for one night. We had a double fan room, which was fine but the bathroom was not that clean (there was a sanitary pad wedged in the window grill and a bit of grime in the corners) and unfortunately the mosquito net didn't fit over the bed properly. The owners were very nice, but it's pretty noisy... More

Stayed here as a base for checking out the 'cultural triangle' for 4 nights. The room was very clean, basic but comfortable. There is aircon but we just used the fan, and just about managed. There was hot water and ensuite bathroom. Wifi worked in the room for us and also in the garden. The owner and his family are... More

We stayed here for 5 days and used it as a base for the cultural triangle. The room was clean although a bit warm at times (air con was available but we elected not to use it). The owners are fantastic and were very helpful in suggesting places off the beaten track. They helped us organise a scooter so that... More

I stayed at Takeshi Inn for two nights. I love that they had some tables, benches and a hammocks in the garden. I wasn't feeling well one day, so I was resting at the garden and played with the little granddaughter for a while. The owner and his family were really friendly and helpful. The room was basic with mosquito... More

Me and my girlfriend spent 2 nights at Takeshi Inn and had a pretty nice stay there. For $25USD a night we were given a double room with a mosquito net, plus fan and ensuite bathroom. The room was nice and clean and it wasnt that noisy either considering the main road is only 20m away. The location isnt amazing... More

Takeshi was recommended by another traveler so I called ahead and stayed 3 nights. The owner came and picked me up from the bus at no charge as its a little out of town but perfect for catching the bus to Sigiriya Rock and Polonnaruwa. The rooms are basic but clean with mosquito nets and fans / air-con (if you... More
