Family-run hotel with friendly vibe and relaxed atmosphere. Our kids loved playing soccer with the proprietor's son in the garden, and sitting on the swing-seat. Walking distance to Dambulla caves and only 8 minutes walk Golden Buddha, a short tuk-tuk ride to Sigiriya. Best laundry service in Sri Lanka—convenient and cheap. We loved the vegetable fried rice too. Of our... More

I stayed this hostel to see sigiriya sunset. The room was big and clean. White type interior was good to stay. Lobby was good to drink beer with other traveller. Specially You can choose one of three kind of breakfast(srilankan food, western, eastern) i ate western, it was great and other things also looks good. And Owners are very kind.... More

We stayed at the sunflower on the second leg of our trip. After coming from a guest house at half the price we paid to stay here. I have to say I was a little shocked!!! The rooms were not what they had portrayed in the pictures online. We had also booked AC, but when asked they said it was... More

Rooms were ok , bathroom big and clean, and space in the garden/balconies was a plus. Food was good price-quality and staff very nice and smiling. I would repeat if I had the chance. very close to the temple.

We spent 2 nights and we chose sunflower inn for its location, 5min from the Cave Rock temple. We were very comfortable because the staff were really kind and warm, willing to help with anything. Room and bathroom were spacious and very clean. Food was freshly made and delicious. We recommend it!!

We stayed 2 nights at Sun Flower Inn. The general set up is that of a motel, accommodation over two levels each with a seating area. There is also a dini g room that is used for any meals you ask for while staying. The area is not great, in a impoverished area, although it felt quite safe there is... More

the room was alright. It was not great (windows wouldn't open and door wouldn't shut) but at least it was clean. The food is prepared by the hotel owner and its very bad (maybe that's because we are eggetarians, but how hard is it to cook rice? We could not swallow, it was that hard. And next day breakfast was... More

The guesthouse is located in a poor area. However, it is few minutes' walk from the Golden Temple. The family running the guesthouse is not friendly, and they charge a lot for their services (arrange a tuk-tuk or a taxi) as compared to the prices you get from the streets. The A/C Deluxe rooms are large. However, the one on... More

The Sunflower is a reasonably modern building down a country lane almost directly opposite the gates of the Golden Temple. The food is good and the portions generous. It's a 100 Rupee tuc-tuc ride into town, but there isn't much need to go there unless you're leaving or arriving. The Temple of the Caves, Art Museum and all attractions are... More

My deluxe room at Sun Flower Inn was very basic, too much poor for the price I spent . I stayed two nights, but they didn't clean the room nor changed the towels. The bathroom was quite old. The dining area was not very clean with the table linens having old food stains. The quality of the breakfast was the... More
