Good place to beguin our journey in this country. The thing is that not all the rooms are the same. I slept in two of them and see another one and none of them had any ressemblance with the one my brother was sleeping in. To sum up, if you get a good room great, if not, there must be... More

Some rooms are quite crapy to stay in ! We had a room which is just next to the kitchen so we cannot open the window as the view was on the backside of the kitchen with bad smells. We could not sleep before midnight pass as we could hear the staff until the whole hotel shuts down the lights... More

We were in another hotel but following a good opinion in lonely planet we decided to go for a dinner to milano's restaurant. Normal price for eating in sri lanka (in a good place) is about 450 rupies (3 euros). In the milano, the food is bad and overpriced (tourist oriented). It was 1250 rupies per person. Almost three times... More

Having taken the Lonely Planet guide at its word we booked from Sydney. After enduring two nights we moved. Not comfortable, mosquitoes, an eccentric hot water system and a shower that meant the entire bathroom/lavatory was awash every time you used it, and the room not serviced after the first night, said it all. The LP was wrong. Nice staff,... More

A tourist nest where most tourist chill out. Rooms are pretty decent and very clean. Good tasty Sri Lankan food served hot off the pan. Good service and great hang out. A big thank you to Lalith for maintaining a good place with great service

We paid 3300 lkr for an ac room (the managet started at 3900). Breakfast is not included. The room was small but just fine, but pretty dark and not cosy or anything. There was a large big matrass with big pillows, just too big and the matrass too hard. Personell were really kind but almost too kind, the food was... More

Stayed here mid-way through a very busy trip round Sri Lanka and found it a wonderful haven. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout - we couldn't have asked for more. The room was nice and cool and they provided a car to take us round the many sights (we went during June, when it was much too hot to... More

Arrived without booking looking for a fan only room (obviously a budget traveler). The service was impeccable, the room was one of the best budget stays I did on this trip. The restaurant is situated in a small garden and gives welcome respite at the end of a hot day. The food, if a little pricey, was delicious and the... More

I arrived here to inquire about a room after a very long journey. Whilst the accomodation was out of my price range the kind staff drove me to another restort which suited me better and gave me a complimentary much needed fruit juice. My sincere thanks to the lovely staff for their help and hospitality
