The hotel is renovated and the new wing has tastefully designed rooms with spacious and luxurious en-suites. Food is very good and the staff is helpful. Has a sunny swimming pool overlooking the beautiful Nuwarawewa lake. Best place to enjoy Anuradhapura, while on a pilgrimage or on a relaxing getaway. Recommend for families with children. The only downside is that... More

My stay at this hotel was only two nights but would have loved to stay longer. The hotel is exquisitely renovated and everything looks new and fresh, although seem fresh the staff is well trained and very hospitable .Room very clean and well appointed. Had a great time there! Excellent management (Executive housekeeper buddhika meet in the room & help... More

Had stayed here with family before. So I choose to stay there during a business trip with my superior. Regretted. Rooms were smelly, corridors dark, access through empty halls stacked with excess or discarded furniture. Bar and food was good though. Staff pleasant.

We stayed here one night , escaping from very bad weather in Jaffna, on our way to Colombo. Firstly the gentleman at reception was exceptionally helpful and gave us renovated rooms . These were not bad -- pretty average considering these were newly renovated. I wonder what the older rooms are like? The bathroom was something else -- it seemed... More

Horrible hotel. Outside bathroom, not suitable to go to toilet when it is dark as mosquitos fly around you, sitting there with lamplight.... moist towels because of outside accomodation in the rain. No tv working (hotel staff had problems with Dialog) swimmingpool under construction, no suitable lamp to read a book so when it was dark we only could go... More

Stayed a night here with friends. (They had chosen the hotel) This hotel badly needs an upgrade. The rooms were moldy and the hallways were dark and stacked with broken furniture. The service was indifferent. The waiters and room boys appeared to be untrained, and the Manager seemed to have little control over the day to day running of the... More

We did not stay here, fortunately. But I was keen to visit this hotel again, as I had been there during my schooldays... Several signs of tackiness. We wanted only the lunch though so moved in to the restaurant which was rather basic. We were confronted with the tail end of a buffet, so we decided to order al a... More

Good staff with admirable facilities our experience was great for money. Nice swimming pool... after searching for a while this is the best economical place we could find. For a rainy day it was not the smooth approach for the hotel but i think it reveals the true travelling experience in a tropical country. City is full of ruins and... More

Stayed 2 nights in this hotel. Average hotel buffet not too clever so went for a la carte the 2nd night. Rooms a bit damp and maybe needs upgrading. They also advised bar opens till 12am when in fact shuts at 10pm as the staff obviously wanted to get away early. Would not stay in this hotel again if travelling... More
