I was very excited when we drove up to this hotel. I was spending my first night in Sri Lanka and the hotel, on the outside reminded me of some of the hotels I had stayed at when I was living in Thailand. The reception area and other public areas were very nice. The walk to my room was very... More

This hotel was our base for visiting the ancient city of Anuradhapura. We had a driver/guide and this location was perfectly convenient. Its setting is so natural and we did not mind stretching our legs to reach bar/restaurant area. Food good and staff most obliging. Rooms more than adequate and a decent sized swimming pool.

Thought this was a great place to stay for a short visit. The rooms are mostly bungalow style with a fair walk from reception. The rooms where small but adequate. The whole complex is set in a forest type setting, with a lake at the far end, where if you are lucky enough you may see an elephant, (allegedly), slim... More

Nature lovers will probably like it here. It feels like the hotel is situated in a forest - at least its very green in and around the hotel. However - if you travel with little children this is not your place. For starters the food is horrible. I ate club sandwiches for three days. They don't offer family rooms or... More

Just stayed one night here whilst on a tour of Sri Lanka. The hotel is in a lovely setting which we didn't get to appreciate due to flooding! The room was clean and comfortable but quite basic, The restaurant was very attractive and the buffet breakfast and dinner offered a good selection.

Arrival was good, a bit of a labyrinth to get to the house. We got welcomed by one cockroach on the bed ( the only one we found). But a very nice room. Bathroom is very nice, a bath, two showers-quite modern. The pool was a weird experience, even so I didn't go into the water. It was very milky,... More

Hotel rooms were set in the middle of extensive garden/trees. Made for beautiful surrounds but not much fun walking in the rain at night to get to dinner. Food excellent and staff pleasant and helpful. Rooms had essentials

This was one of the most peaceful and beautiful places for me--I could have stayed longer. I felt happy just to be surrounded by the the perfectly manicured lawns, and the perfect landscaping. It was such a great place to visit. And it is so quiet at night--each of the rooms is in a separate cabin-type thing, so you have... More

Travelled as family of 3. Our driver booked this place 3 months before we travelled,we were greeted and shown to the room which felt like 1 klm walk from the reception in pouring rain. The standard room was small with 2 twin beds pushed together no third bed for our daughter, the wife got on the phone to reception but... More

hotel is nicely situated in a lush jungle like garden. Our room was spacious, but the bed smelled like mold and we had a very noisy AC. Staff does their best, but the language remains a problem. Restaurant so so, we ordered an omelette for breakfast, but the bowls with the ingredients were crowded with ants....no omelettes for us then.
