We had booked a couple of nights in Sveti Stefan as a couple of nights of luxury at the end of our holiday in Montenegro, and we were really looking forward to it. It looks absolutely perfect - an island of your own in the sunshine, staying in a national landmark. And in many ways the hotel/resort/island does live up... More

While touring Montenegro and en route to Budva, our tour group stopped for a photo op of the islet of Sveti Stefan ... now called Aman Sveti Stefan. According to our tour guide it was a fortress village in the 15th century and contained 12 families. Today it is a 5 star resort of the international group of Aman Resorts... More

Exactly what you would expect from Aman and more. We have been to Amantaka in Lao previously, but this is simply in another league. The property is on a quiet spot by the coast, which is breathtaking and frequented mostly by the locals. Only regret is that we didn't plan to stay longer.

For those of you who know and read my reviews, you know we travel 5-6 months a year and take reviewing seriously. Aman Sveti Stefan was our 10th Aman resort. We usually do one splurge per trip and Aman is often it. I am actually thrilled to be able write this review because our stay was as close to perfect... More

As an Aman, this property is still a work-in-progress. First of all, service is not up to the usual Aman standards. While the staff try hard to please, they are quite young, inexperienced and lack the usual Aman "polish." Also, it's quite large as Amans go, so the service is less personal than the other properties we've stayed at. Dining... More

You'll never forget your stay here. The setting is absolutely sublime. You are on an island in the middle of the sea! The Aman resort has converted a fishing island in an imaginative manner, preserving the feeling of a village but inserting comfort at every juncture. For instance, the main restaurant building has a gym (with drop dead views) on... More

This was our 12th Aman resort and it lived up to expectations. Outstanding location with choice of villa on mainland and village island. We stayed on both sides. If you are with family stay on mainland and visit island for lunch/dinner. If a couple, do the island amd roam the narow alleys to imagine village life of the days gone... More

Arriving at the gate(s) of the hotel there was a rather confusing moment. There are two gates and a bridge to the island. Too many people didn’t realise we had a reservation (safety?). Once in the hotel, the reception was very friendly and helpful but after a day on the way – we came from the north of Montenegro –... More

This Aman is an amazingly beautiful resort and unique. The island and villa within the natural beauty of Montenegro create a wonderful special setting that we truly enjoyed. The but, is the service is below par for an Aman. The beauty of the resort is not matched by the service which is a shame because we truly enjoyed this resort.... More

We stayed at Aman Sveti Stefan in Sept 2014; it was our fourth Aman stay (3 in Asia, 1 in Carribean). For those that have stayed at Amans, you know the hotels have that extra "something," that's hard to describe. The staff, for example, are engaging and seem to anticipate your needs or wants. Aman Sveti Stefan was missing that... More
