Located in the town centre and a short taxi ride or 10 to 15 minutes by foot from the station. This place looks very impressive from the outside. Check in was very well handled and staff all very pleasant. All by no means modern, this quite elegant looking hotel has been well looked after. Two complaints - the room was... More

Arrived in Iasi by train in the darkness. Could not find an English speaker anywhere but made it clear to the locals that I needed a hotel and with a bit of sign language I was directed to a main square. The Traian loked extremely smart so I checked in for a reasonable price. There was a good basement bar... More

The elegant Grand Hotel Traian was designed by none other than Gustave Eiffel himself. That in itself is reason enough to stay here. The hotel has an excellent location right in the centre of town on Piața Unirii and only about a 10 minute walk from the train station. Piața Unirii is like Iași as a whole and is filled... More

A hotel with a special architecture, located in Unirii Square, close to all facilities Iasi also a very beautiful city. The staff is very friendly, the rooms beautifully appointed with classic furniture, according to the hotel's image. Breakfast quite varied, with options to choose from. A parking problem was far enough, I did not know that the hotel has underground... More

Iasi is probably off the tourist trail which makes this town great. The hotel is beautiful from the outside and interior matches. Possibly slightly dated but superb value for money. If you are considering visiting Iasi, do so you won't regret it and stay at the Traian Hotel. Breakfast was great.

The hotel is located in Unirii Sq, very convenient as starting point for a city trip. The building has a certain charm, being built in late 1800`s. The staff was friendly, polite and helpful. Although I was not aware I have to book and pay the breakfast separately, this was immediately resolved by the staff by charging my room account.... More

The hotel is lovely and very comfortable, with excellent service from the front desk. I was far less pleased with the restaurant. Despite being cautioned in advance they seemed intent on over-cooking my tuna steak, and my waiter was less than attentive. I will be looking to eat eksewhere tomorrow.

The Traian reminded me of olden, grand hotels that I never got to stay in until this one. Plus it was designed by the Eiffel Tower architect, another plus. It looms over its city square and is within walking distance of many of the sights, including all the fabulous and unique churches of Iasi. Also walking distance to bus and... More

from 4 to 3 stars? maybe some things has to be considered. pros: location in city centre, very friendly staff, nice architecture, fair price cons: poor wifi (almost zero), noisy air con, limited parking place (without asking the staff I would have to park away from the hotel location), poor choice of TV channels ( plenty of channels but half... The name is accurate; this is a grand old hotel (130 years old) with classic architecture. It’s not a luxurious hotel by today’s standards, but does not claim to be one. The décor is classical French. My double ‘room’ was actually two small rooms combined. One room had the bathroom with a hallway alongside that opened to a wider area... More
