my clubs had meetings weekly at Carpati Hotel and it's the perfect place for any kind of plans you have in Baia Mare; Meetings, Coffee, Lunch, Good Hotel and so on. It's very good located in City Center but somehow in a quiet area. It's expensive but it worth it.

Strategicly placed, easy parking , nice lobby , lovely resaturant helpful staff. The room I got was very small , the flat TV was too close to the bed . Don't be put off by the orange and white painted concrete. Inside it s very comfortable and my room was very, very good. Excellent wifi in the room. Good position for the town centre. My room was very nice. Wi-Fi fast and English television channels. Negatives. Smoking in all areas of the restaurant. Breads on the breakfast buffet were horrible. Restaurant food is marginal. I ordered mushrooms and green beans with one meal - canned. Menu is not in English but has pictures. Positives. Good sized rooms. Bathroom much smaller.

The helpful, efficient staff at reception more than make up for the slightly garish reception decor. It took us all of two minutes to check in even though we hadn't booked in advance.
