If i had another option, i wouldn't choose this place. But all the places i called for our holy week accommodation were all fully-booked. This was the only place that had vacancy. It's quite far from the main town and getting to the place was really dark if you go there by night. Also, the shower is not really hot,... More

Our travel agent, Tripinas, booked us here for 3d/2n, for our Sagada-Banaue tour. My first impression is that they don't have enough people to assist guests especially if it is a huge group (40-50 people). No one was at the reception area to greet and usher us to our rooms. It was also kind of gloomy because lights were turned... More

Of the 4 or 5 inns I contacted for our Sagada vacation, only 2 responded and only Mapiya-aw Pension had a vacancy. My research revealed that it was not in the town center and would entail a "short" walk, but my hubby and I decided to go for it because we actually like walking. When we arrived in Sagada, Ate... We arrived in Sagada without a hotel booking and ended up here after asking for room in just about every other hotel in town. Much to our surprise, it turned out to be a great choice. The location is definitely best if you have a car, otherwise it is a bit of a walk into town. But the plus side... More

Do not book in this place if you do not like walking uphill with all your luggage with you because there is no porter to help you do so when you descend from the jeep. Take note that from where the jeeps pass, it is still a 500 meter or less climb. The view from the balcony is lovely though.... More

We traveled to Sagada with friends a few months back. Due to lack of options, we stayed in this Pensione but it was good choice. It's a bit far from the town-center (about 15mins walk, and an uphill path) but it was very homey. The room was quiet cheap for 1000 pesos a night (good for 4). Thick blankets were... More

Sagada itself is a traveler's oasis, and Mapiya-aw Pension is a particularly peaceful spot within that oasis. It's off the main road and away from the center of town a bit, in a beautiful location among karst formations. Our hostess was extraordinarily friendly and encouraged us to ask her "any question under the sun." Even the family dogs were especially... More
