My gf and I had a great time in huacachina and the hostel rocha. We only paid like 30 soles per person (10 dollars) and had a great time at the pool, garden and bar. Furthermore, we booked the sandbuggy and sanboard tour at their place and it is a must do! We also paid 10 soles less than other... More

We stayed for two nights and were made extremely welcome. Lalo the owner was very friendly and was only too willing to help with local information. The pool and garden area where rustic and full of their own charm. We were delighted to be able to watch hummingbirds and many other colourful birds whilst we swam. A little oasis of... More

The worst place I've stayed in so far in South America!!! The room was run down, dirty and had a broken window! The owner forgot to inform me that this place has parties with very loud music until 7am!!! Add to that the fire crackers in the room above me at 5am in the morning, and overall it was a... More

Though the rooms are definitely no luxury, they are big, clean and safe. The hostal is run by a family and their employees will happily give you any necessary information or book any tour you like for you. Apart from that it offers the rooms at a very low cost, giving it a try should definitely be recommended!

When you visit Huacachina which I highly recommend you do, I can't urge you strongly enough to avoid this hostel until they improve their standards. We made the rookie mistake at the start of a long trip by asking the taxi driver to take us somewhere decent. This was without doubt the worst hostel of our 4 month trip in... More

We had a small room - not really clean but cheap. We had a broken window and music was played all night in the bar downstairs. We left on early morning !

As part of a group, we camped in the Hostal Rocha's grounds (a bit of sand at the back), but we did have use of one of the rooms to put bags in (and one of the group to sleep in). The room was filthy and insecure. There wasn't even a latch on the door, never mind a lock. The... More

I've stayed in a lot of hostels and this was the worst hostel I have ever stayed in. The toilet didn't work. The staff was creepy. The place looked as if it hasn't been cleaned in years and the worst of all the beds had BED BUGS. Do not stay here.

My night at this hostel was one of the longest in my life. I have stayed in a lot of hostels, and this was easily the worst. When we arrived, they tried to push many different add-ons onto our stay within the first five minutes before even letting us settle into our room. The room was DISGUSTING. First of all,... More

Stayed 4 days in Hostal Rocha. After traveling to Cuzco for a week this was a pleasant relaxing time. The hostal is runned by a family who do the best they can to let you feel at home. There is a pool with sun on it untill 3 pm. Furthermore, the breakfast is good as well as the information sharing... More
