Arriving into Huaraz, I didn't know where stay. So I looked up reviews in Tripadvisor, and there it was: a picture of a beautiful patio. So I called and made reservations. Service was excelent. The only problem, to close to the main road. So if you want to sleep until 9am, it gets noisy. But, you can do the sleeping... More

We stayed 2 nights at El Patio de Monterrey based on its #1 ranking here on TA and were pleased that we did. It is a beautiful hotel off the beaten path and the staff was truly wonderful. They were able to set up tours, give fantastic advice on what to do and how to get there. We really felt... More

The hotel is centered around a patio and fountain with rooms around it. The rooms are basic but comfortable. When the hotel is full it gets pretty noisy but fine by the end of the evening. It is located a 5 minute taxi ride from Huaraz. The hosts are warm and and hospitable, very helpful and accommodating. Simple but good... More

We liked the hotel, it is located in old monastery and very well decorated/maintained. Yet, the location is bad, there's absolutely nothing to do in Monterrey (except for hot springs, which I would avoid for health reasons - they are dirty and unsanitary). You have to go to Huaraz for restaurants, tours, activities, etc. Getting from Monterrey to Huaraz takes... More

We stayed here for 4 nights in a spacious cabaña with 2 large beds, a fireplace and a sitting area. Unfortunately, that cabaña was absolutely not soundproof and built next to a street with cars passing half a metre from its walls and neighbours on the other side of the road watching TV with the volume wide open. We had... More

Very nice hotel north of Huaraz, calm and peaceful. Not a whole lot to do in the tiny town of Monterrey, so if you are looking for a place to relax, this would be the perfect spot for you. Rooms were comfy, heater did it's job. Nice hot shower. Gardens are beautiful! Friendly and helpful staff, food was very good.... More

This is a really delightful hotel with delicious food, very friendly and helpful staff, a beautiful garden and it is a great place for a bit of peace and quiet outside Huaraz. The rooms were very clean and comfortable with extra blankets for cold nights and also heaters. The 'hot' springs near the hotel were a little disappointing as they... More

El Patio de Monterrey is a charming hotel with plenty of character. The courtyard is a delightful place to relax. The staff is very helpful, the rooms are clean and spacious, the food in the hotel restaurant is very good and reasonably priced. This is a great place to stay for those who prefer to stay away from the bustle... More

This nice hotel is located in the district of Monterrey a few km from Huaraz is about 20 minutes from the centre, there are nice gardens and a great patio were you can take your breakfast. Loved this quiet little place that is out of the bustle of town. Fantastic customer service. Clean! Joanna speaks English and is very helpful. Staff is warm and friendly and kind. We meant to stay a couple of nights and stayed more than a week.
