I checked that I stayed at the Andino in Dec, 2014, but it was much earlier than 2014. I once held the world record for staying at the Andino Club Hotel while I was working on the construction of a near-by project. I was a more or less permanent resident for 18-months and know every item on the menu and... More

No doubt this is the best hotel in Huaraz, but a little overpriced for what you actually pay for. If you are in a different city you may get charged perhaps 50% of what we paid. They got it right as you are trapped in a city with mostly bad to more or less acceptable places to stay, so you... More

This hotel is tucked away on the eastern side of Huaraz uphill from the downtown area. It offers a cozy and relaxing Swiss style Inn to recover from the grueling hikes in the Cordillera Blanca region! The service is personal, the menu offers many choices and the breakfast buffet is satisfying!

We stayed for 2 nights during a week tour of Ancash. The hotel has free breakfast, free wifi and a wood burning fireplace and a spa tub in the room and has nice views of the cordilliera blanca. The Peruvian staff very very nice, the swiss owners were a bit stiff. This would be a really great place but it... More

This is a comfortable, friendly hotel with nice rooms and great views of the Cordillera Blanca. We stayed here for several nights before and after trekking in the Cordillera. The rooms are comfortable and there is a plentiful supply of hot water -- very important after spending nights on the trail! Staff are bilingual and very helpful. Internet access is... More

The Andino Hotel is outstanding. We used it as our Huaraz base while in the region for two weeks of climbing in the Cordillera Blanca, and it was nearly perfect. The hotel is Swiss managed and measures up to the standards of excellence for which the Swiss are known. The staff are helpful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and... More

Contrary to many other reviewers, I was not impressed with the Andino Club. We stayed three nights. First, I did not find the room spacious or particularly well appointed. It is a basic hotel that is clean. Second, breakfast, though included in the price, was ok, not great. We needed early morning breakfasts and not all the food was set... More

I stayed at the Andino a number of times whilst climbing in Peru, using it as a base between trips. I stayed in three different rooms, giving a broader base to my experiences. The rooms facing Huascaran are the best and offer superb views, with a balcony. One room I stayed in had a spa bath and fireplace...something there for... More

I enjoyed staying at Andino Hotel in Huaraz. Although it relatively small, this 3 stars boutique hotel is outstanding in the Huaraz hospitality industry. Coming back from mountain climbing expedition, it seemed to me that it was a 5 stars Hotel! It has Swiss management fingerprints all over. The hotel staff is very friendly.
