This lovely, very friendly hotel is on the edge of the main CBD - just by the river and only a 5-10 min walk to the cathedral. The bedrooms are excellent with huge comfy beds, our room had a balcony overlooking the lovely gardens and on to the Cordeilleira Blanca. Rooms were nice and quiet and well back from the... More

If you want something quit and calm (family enviroment) this is a great choice. But if you want something close to the main square (Plaza de Armas) and travel agencies and want to have good dinners and parties (bars, etc) probably this is not the best option. It is about 8 blocks away from the main square and not very... More

We (34 of us) descended on Huaraz and the Hotel Colomba a few weeks ago for a weeklong stay during a medical mission trip. The owners and staff bent over backwards to make our stay pleasant and enjoyable. The breakfast buffet is consistently good. Rooms are clean and taken care of daily. Aside from wanting to strangle a couple of... More

Our stay was above our expectations. Facility is secure, yet easy to walk to town. Staff is most accommodating and interested in meeting ALL expectations. Breakfast was timely and tasty. Unlimited potable water was a plus. Rooms were very clean and comfortable with a king bed. We loved our stay - and not picky about decor.

Stayed twice and the first time didn't realise we had been upgraded to superior room (102). Dodgy bedroom lights, substandard bathroom, needed redecorating. Second room was smaller but no worse as far as the rest went. On the bright side you do have kettle and drinks in the room and a hair dryer of sorts. The public rooms are nice,... More

This stunning hotel is hidden within high walls in the outskirts of the city. We were a little hesitant at first as we felt the rooms were a little pricey at 200 sols for a standard double/matrimonial room. However we very quickly changed our minds after experiencing the quality and standard of service offered here. The rooms were lovely, very... More

We stayed here our first night in Huaraz based on a recommendation by a travel agent. It was clean but WAY over priced (double what it should have been). The owners were kind but not very friendly. As a result, the staff is unfriendly. We left after the first night and found something equally as good with great service and... More

The guest can not give a bad review of a hotel and create a bad precedent just because of not being in or within reach of a personal financial budget, people need to understand that there are hotels to suit all budgets, more or smaller hotel service and different types in infrastructure and facilities. the guest can not compare the... We stayed in Hotel Colomba for three nights in the end of July and were surprised to find that it was not as good as the reviews we read about it. The hotel is nicely kept and the rooms are spacious and clean. However, it was a surprise after staying in 4 different hotels in Peru to find out that... More

I own the hotel Colomba and am very surprised by the criticism of this host, because: First, as shown in our website, our prices always include breakfast buffet, which is very abundant. Secondly, We speak English, and if the guest is not understood with our cleaning staff or reception, my wife and I, we intervene in the talks and try... More

This is one of the best hotels we've stayed at during our whole south american trip. - Excellent location, tucked away just a couple of blocks away from the busy main streets. It was so quiet at night, we got a great sleep - Large, beautiful grounds, plenty of space to relax - Very safe, the premises are very secure... More
