This was the loveliest place I stayed during my month in Peru. Only S80/night including full breakfast with French-press coffee. Spotless, cozy yet modern, quiet yet welcoming. Two sisters run the place, and do an efficient & friendly job, desoite being very busy. Neighbors' crowing roosters wake you in time for your excursions. Rooftop dining & terrace with stunning 360... We had a lovely stay pre and post Santa Cruz trek. The two ladies who run this place (apparently there is a male owner floating somewhere about) are wonderful and so very helpful. We arrived very early in the morning by overnight bus and we were welcomed with a room and breakfast (and coffee). Best reception post overnight bus that... More

This is a great find in Huaraz with rooms arranged around a central courtyard. The beds are comfortable with alpaca blankets, the bathroom is clean, the staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is served on the rooftop deck with amazing views of the surrounding mountains. Breakfast is different every day: eggs, or fruit with yogurt,or crepe with banana, bread, juice... More

We stayed at Olaza’s for a few days prior to, and after hiking the Santa Cruz Circuit. What a great place! Every morning we were provided with tea, fresh bread, and scrambled eggs. One morning when we had an early departure, the staff made it a point to get up early and fix our breakfast. It is well-located and within... More

A really great guest house; spacious, comfortable rooms with a beautiful terrace looking out over the mountains. We arrived at 7am and they checked us in and gave us breakfast that morning at no extra charge. There is a cosy lounge room with a TV, plus a range of books and magazines. They arranged a day trip to Ranralpalca Glacier for... More

I stayed here while in Peru to acclimatize before my mt. bike trip in Cusco. The balcony had incredible views of the Cordillera Blanca and Negra. The good was great. I can't say enough good things about the owners. Also Julio runs a great mt. bike company and the riding is incredible!

Can't say enough good about Olaza's. It's always the people, all Huaraz locals. There is Intelligent, gentleman owner Tito and his older brother, knowledgable, personable Mt. Bike Adventure entrepreneur Julio. The young girls on staff are sweet, energetic, outgoing. Not "just" the people, either.... Ultra clean, sophisticated design and decore, it is functionally very well thought out, quiet, and organized.... More

My wife and I stayed here for a total of about 7 days, either side of a trekking trip we did in the Huayhuash region. It was perfect for us. The rooms are all comfortable (although a little poorly lit) and we didn't find it cold (thick blankets are provided just in case). The bathrooms are clean and there was... More

This is a lovely B&B. The staff are really friendly and helpful and really welcoming, the breakfasts are served on the rooftop terrace and were fab, and the rooms were simple and clean and quiet. Not too far from the Main Street in a safe area of Huaraz.
