we really enjoyed our stay here, we were welcome with hot coca tea and then we could have an early check in, which was well after hours on the bus, the next day we enjoyed the delicious breakfast on the terrace, we did a few walks a day as 69 lake was booked from the reception.

We arrived in Huaraz at 6.30 AM after a trip in the night bus from Lima! We could check in right away, which was awesome after that bus ride! We could shower and even order some breakfast.. We booked 2 tours via the hostel (lake 69 for example) which were both great! This is a perfect hostel to book if... More

Hatun Wasi Hostel is one of the best hostels in Huaraz. It it held by a lovely and helpful family. They perfectly know the ground on which they operate and they are incredibly aware of customer needs. I have been staying there, between my trekking and ice climbing sessions, at least 10 days. I have always been happy with the... More

it is a very nice hostal and the included breakfast makes it a good deal. The rooms were kept clean. The kitchen for use by guests was patectic and daily things were taken back to the main kitchen. Imagine trying to fry an egg with a fork. The staff though very helpful were cold. Sometimes it was hard to find... More

Stayed here for 4 nights in July 2013 and had an excellent, clean room with comfortable beds. Hot water (normally) in the showers and a very good breakfast on the terrace. The biggest highlight is how friendly the management is, its a family run hostal and they are so helpful. Would whole heartedly recommend. Yes it is not in the... More

I stayed at Hatun Wasi for 11 nights. There are many attributes to recommend Hatun Wasi, but a couple notable negatives: On the plus side: great breakfast options made fresh each morning. The hotel is very clean, my room (#306) was well appointed. One of the best showers in Latin America: HOT and great pressure and you can indulge yourself... More
