2 hours by car from Huarez this comfortable lodge is situated in a breathtaking scenery in the mountains. The beds are grande and warm, there is hot water en the meals are delightful. Starting from the lodge we did the day trek to laguna 69 and we walked to the ice of Huandoy. We wish we could have stayed longer... more

Stayed 4 nights in the lodge as part of a larger mountaineering trip. Excellent location with incredible views of the Cordillera Blanca. The staff was not only hospitable and ensured that our needs were met but they spent a good deal of time with us in the evenings to better acquaint us with the area, the lodge, and activities. Additionally... more

A 30 minute taxi drive from Yungay up to 3.500 m altitude, a unique and most beautiful location direct by the highest Peruvian mounts with splendid views on the snowcapped tops. 10 km away (taxi recommended) are the fabulous Llaganuco lakes. The house is still in construction, 4 rooms are actually ready. Nearby is the cozy kitchen/dining room/living room and... more

I spent just over 2 weeks at Llanganuco Lodge, using it as my base to explore the Cordillera Blanca mountains. I am staggered as to what Charlie (owner/manager) has achieved here. Considering the Lodge is at 3500m, to have better facilities than some hotels in Lima (you can drink the fresh spring water from the taps, 24hr hot water, and... more

Llanganuco Lodge is absolutely spectacular in every sense: A nice rooms as you get in the Andes, the best location you can imagine but what really makes this place unique is the owner (Charlie) and managers (Brett) ability to make everybody feel welcome. It is truly special! more

We´ve been there twice now, once at the beginning of the rainy season and once smack in the middle of it....and we´ve loved it each time - Charlie the owner provides a great experience in the mountains - the lodge is beautiful as are the many hiking trails that can be accessed directly from it. We even saw two condors... more

This place is absolutely incredible. It is situated at the base of the mountains with incredible views in all directions. The rooms are very well kept and the owner is extremely helpful and friendly and the food is amazing. It takes a little while to get there by taxi but it is definitely worth it. They are very helpful in... more

This place is a real surprise. Carlitos, the owner, have made a great job. The rooms are great, it is hard to think that you are going to find luxury in such a remote place. We stayed the first year of opening, the lodge was not finished but the level of the acommodation was incredible, and the food was very... more

Luxury in the high Andes of Peru - nothing like it. We were treated like royalty, served gourmet food (breakfast, lunch and dinner), and had hot showers each day after our adventures. Perhaps this sounds common, but as a long time traveler in the Andes, I can honestley say this is exceptional. I have never stayed so close to the... more
