After 4 days of hiking all I wanted was a hot shower and a nap, I got neither staying here. Our hiking company booked this hotel for us, so I assumed it would be as nice as our hike, nope. There was no forewarning about the noise or lack of water, we were told the noise would stop at 4pm,... More

We stayed for three nights during our trip to Machu Picchu. The hotel has a lovely live- in family that run the daily operations. We made arrangements for a pick up at the train station and were met by a lovely young lady that "walked" us to our lodge...all the way up the hill!! With that being said.. The rooms... More

70$ a night is too much. Up hill walk to the hotel about 10 mins walking from the train station...No aircon, though the rooms are large and peaceful. breakfast is very limited...overall i like the place, but i would look for something cheaper next time.

We stayed here for two nights and we'll never do it again. We asked for a family room, but they were 'not available'. The stair house had no roof. The room they tried to put us in was smelling stuffy. It is located in the centre of the town. You can get a much better place for less money, try... More

We were here 1 night, The location is close to the train station and the bus to Machu Picchu. Room was clean, but bed was in poor repair, falling off the base. Toilet leaked. There was a huge construction hole in the lobby. The breakfast was minimal, bad coffee. The shower worked fine, though, and the rushing river outside dampened... More

We were here only 1 night as part of the usual Machu Picchu trip, however this was a nice little hotel. Had a pleasant room with a double aspect onto the rushing stream. Shower was hot and beds comfortable. We were up to catch the early bus up to MP, before they served breakfast but they supplied a packed breakfast... More

Aguas Calientes is a nice town and the only place close enough to MachuPicchu that allows ample time to get to the ruins for sunrise. I recommend 2 nights there, the night before and then the night after. Plenty of time to relax and not rush about. Plus you don't have to rush out of MachuPicchu to catch the train.... More

We were sent an email 2 weeks prior to the date of our booking asking us the train arrival time and saying that someone will come to receive us at the station. This never happened and we kept waiting at the station. When we reached the hotel and reported this to the manager/receptionist she bluntly said 'WE DON'T HAVE ENOUGH... More

Aguas Calientes is not a nice town (noisy and expensive) but It you want to go to Machu Picchu early in the morning so you will need to sleep there. Wiracocha Inn is a good alternative: nice staff, buffet breakfast, clean rooms, free wifi acces and a great location. The price per night is a little expensive but in this... More

Ask for the rooms at the front of the hotel - the view is breathtaking and you can hear the flow of the river! We were put into a non-matrimonial room, so we had 2 single beds instead of a double bed. Two huge windows let a great amount of light in and you can see all the tourists walk... More
