Unfortunately, it's very hard to find a good hotel in Aguas Calientes. They are all going to be sub-par and overly expensive. I don't think this is any different, but I didn't regret my choice and stay. Wirachocha Inn is located on a side street off the street by the river. At first we didn't see the entrance, becuase it... We stayed here one night before taking the early-morning bus to Macchu Pichu. The hotel was under construction as they were adding two floors to the hotel. Construction started at 7 a.m. and continued into the evening hours. Temporary stairs were in place during the construction. The room does not have elevators, so we had to carry our bags up... More

My two friend arrived at 11 PM and the place was dark and locked. We specified on our reservation that we would be arriving at 11 PM, but no one was up or available to let us in. We banged on the door, rang the doorbell, and called the main phone number and it still took 20 minutes for the... More

Despite it's great location in Aguas Calinetes, Wiracocha Inn was underwhelming. The rooms were small and bathrooms need to be fixed up. The staff was very accommodating but the price is far too high for the barebones experience.

Moderate hotels can be pricey in Aguas Calientes -- we're a captive audience, usually there for just one night, often leaving at 5 in the morning. The hotel and rooms are plain and clean, but the location next to the river provides a wonderful soundtrack day and night. The breakfast is adequate. Best of all is the attention and care... More

We stayed here for one night in April before we went to Machu Picchu. The hotel is under construction - there was plastic sheeting hanging up and we had to use stairs that appeared to be temporary and not very sturdy. The breakfast just consisted of rolls, butter and cheese. The staff were very nice but I would recommend you... More

This hotel was little a comfortable, the bed was great and the rooms were average. I would have appreciate more cleanliness when it comes down to the bathrooms, the towels were too poor and the bathroom was very small. However the service was great and the breakfast was perfect for our day out to Machu Picchu!

Dirty, smelly and extremely overpriced! Would never recommend this hotel to anyone! Water was dripping from the ceiling, the sheets, beds and pillows were damp and smelly. I have stayed in hundreds of hostels, hotels etc., but this is the worst one ever!!!

Stayed here 1/17/14-1/18/14. Check out is 9 am. The rooms are clean bathroom is small but sufficient. Hot water works. Mattress is comfortable. The window was left open so there were quite a few flies that needed to be killed but other than that it was fine. Great location 5 min walk to train station. Very close to everything. On... More

We were very satisfied with our stay at this hotel. The room is simple, but very cozy and clean. Our room had an awesome panoramic view of the river and lush tropical plants right outside the window. It felt like a little treehouse in the tropics. There's no street noise, just the soothing white noise from the gushing river outside... More
