We stayed at Marco Wasi for two nights while visiting Machu Picchu. We had been traveling for 6 weeks, and used to some dirty hotels. (This wasn't one of them!) The rooms and bathrooms here are nothing special, but they were clean. They also had a nice staff, flat screen tvs in the rooms, and a filling breakfast that catered... More

I went there with my family (husband, mom, cousin) and it was a little hard to find and somewhat heavy for my mom to climb up there to reach the hotel. The staff were really friendly and accomodating, which was refreshing compared to other places, but the hotel was really high up the hill and I wouldnt recommend it if... More

I consider the stay in Marco Wasi an excellent stay. First, you must understand that you are going to a place that is in the middle of nowhere, up in the mountains. You will not have the commodities that you will have in a regular hotel in your city. What you want is a comfortable place with a comfortable bed,... More

The staff was nice but the hotel itself was kind of bad. we couldn't sleep because the hotel is very noisy, the walls are made of glass so you can see the corridors and hear 2 floors from your room.. Our room did not have any window so very dark. So it was a bit expensive for what it is.... More

Not the easiest to find, but Aguascalientes is a small town - nothing is too far of a walk. Pleasant staff, but a bit noisy in the morning if you're trying to sleep through everyone hustling to catch the early bus to Machu Picchu. Good breakfast. The hot shower was wonderful after a chilly and rainy Inca Trail trek. Comfy... More

One of the employees met us at the train station and helped carrying the luggage up the hill. The hotel is in a secluded area all the way up near the thermas. What was good being a little way from the Plazas, without the noise from the pedestrians going up and down the alleys, and everything is only 5 min... More

The stairs run up this four floor building in the middle and the rooms all face onto this stairwell. Instead of walls the room has glass panels that provide no noise protection. Which is a problem as guests start taking breakfast at 430 to be first into MP. Despite the big Exp discount it was still overpriced. I only had... More

Secluded. Basic and clean. Some uphill and then stairs to reach the place. Expected staff not present at train station and room was not ready even though 11h. arrival was announced, but courteous staff --though minimal, made up for flaws. Breakfast served at 4am, perfect for early trackers. Expect an unannounced 5% charge over the expected 18% tax if you... More

We stayed for 2 days at Aguas Calientes. Marco was very courteous and so was the rest of the hotel staff. Marco's English is very good and for the price we paid, we couldn't have asked for more. There is no elevator and we were on a higher floor by request, so we certainly got an exercise going up and... More

There's a myriad of accom choices in Aguas Calientes, being the tourist town that it is, but it's clear when you start searching online that it's too easy to spend too much on an average room. Let's face it, the main reason most people go there is to go to Machhu Picchu or to finish a trek, so you probably... More
