The rooms are very clean and nice. As 95% of the hotels in the town, they will allow you to leave your luggage in the hotel and recollect it when you come back from Machu Picchu (for free). The unpleasant thing is breakfast starts at 5.30, and they will NOT allow you to take even a banana (!) outside. So,... more

There were lots of little things that were wrong with this hotel. The sink leaked, the tap fixture turned with the tap, the bathroom window didn't shut fully, breakfast was very average, the reading lights didn't work, and they didn't meet us at the train station. The location was very good because it was close to restaurants, the train station... more

We probably shouldn't have expected too much but it was a newer hotel and it shouldn't have had the mold problems it had in the bathroom. The basic breakfast is nothing to write home about but they did provide a heater in the room. Its location was both a pro and a con. The pro is that the buses that... more

Aqua Calientes is truly a tourist town. The main reason for its existence appears to be as a gateway to Machu Picchu. Our goal here was to get a clean, quiet hotel that was convenient to the Machu Picchu bus. This fit the bill. The staff was very pleasant and our room was great. We had all the hot water... more

To get to the hotel from the MP train, we hauled our luggage through the market, across a rickety wooden bridge over the river, down an alleyway, up another, and down a third one, each wide enough for one person. The hotel faces the river. Just three minutes after we entered the dreary lobby, and before we could even check... more

This is a convenient place to stay in Aguas Calientes. We were met at the train station by a member of staff. Our room was right next to a river that roared all day and night. The room was clean and spacious and the showers were piping hot. The staff were freindly enough but were rather subdued at times. The... more

We give this place a 5 star rating. Paid $50 for 1 night for 2 people; very clean, hot water/hot showers. Bed/room clean. Breakfast starts at 5 am, very good. The water from the river put us to sleep at night. Not noisy at all. Very centrally located. Near the river, right off the train station. Staff very nice and... more

Stayed at La Pequena Casita on March 10th, 07 for 1 nite. Pros: - Close to river. Nice rumbling sound to sleep with. - Close to bus station to MP. - Big room and bathroom with hot water. - Comfortable beds. - Service can be great at times (though it can be pretty bad as well - read cons) Cons:... more

Our room had no hot water in sink or shower; no heat; both sink and toilet leaked and promises to repair were not kept. When I aked for fresh towels after mopping up I was charged 5 Sols. But, I was given another tp roll for no charge. We also had a view of the river but the construction zone... more

Spent one night there. Meet a friendly staff, had a clean big room. Hotel is just one block from the bus station to Machu Picchu. If I went there again I would stay at the same hotel. more
