I had a great one night stay at Ecopackers as part of a Macchu Picchu tour booked from my hostel in Cusco. Not knowing what to expect, I was very happy with the quality of the bed in the 4 person room, as well as bathroom. The bar has good wifi and is a nice place to relax whilst waiting... More

Fairly basic place with limited facilities, only has a small common area with no computer, but thankfully wifi is available. Bear in mind that Aguas Calientes is rather isolated from outside, everything has to be brought in by train and more costly, so the shortage on material and comfort for a budget place is understandable. Staff is friendly if not... More

Sister hotel to Ecopackers in Cusco, this is a new fresh, clean, fun hostel located on the main route through the pueblo. Jose Louis and the staff at the front desk are friendly, knowledgeable and resourceful. He and the staff helped me out when there were problems with printing out my Machu Picchu ticket due to system errors. Hiking up... More

I stayed one night at Ecopackers and had a great time. Its location is close to the main square and the buses to Machu Picchu, it was very easy to find from the Train station. The staff welcomed me as soon as I arrived and I noticed they all made efforts to learn me and all my friends' names. They... More

The nicest thing they did for us was when they waited for us at the train station, making sure we made it (we arrived at midnight because of a delay). I think they were in a really good location, they were helpful all the time, the only thing we didn't like much was the bathroom, and they could improve their... More

Like other travellers I stayed here the day before going to Machu Picchu the next day. I thought I should go for a walk and after a wander around the town I found the museum in my guide book. I was told by Jhon the receptionist that I could walk along the railway to get there. It was a bit... More

Super hostel to spend your night before going to the Machu Picchu ! Great location, great dorms, good prices. The staff is super nice and welcoming. They really pay attention to your needs and help you for any questions. Breakfast From 4am to 8am and included, which is very convenient.

I stayed at both ecopackers one in Cuzco and the other in Machu Picchu town (Aguas Calientes). In both the people is very nice and helpful. The hostel is okay if you are young or you just want a cheap alternative. There was a party whole night at ecopackers Cuzco and I thought it was great and I was worried... More

Wow this place is great. It is hard to find - down the far end of the railway lines. The staff are friendly - Jose was amazing always helping out & offering advise. The rooms are super comfortable & the bunk beds are large. The wi-fi is good. It is a little noisey with the railway - however due to... More

Thinking of saving some money in notoriously pricey Aguas Calientes by staying in a private room at well-reviewed Ecopackers Machupicchu? Hear me now: don’t do it. We’ve stayed in our fair share of hostels in Europe, Mexico, and Guatemala, both in dorms and in private rooms, but this one is really something else. Noise coming into our room from every... More
