The friendliest staff in South America, will even collect and return your luggage to the station. Very comfy rooms, lots of hot water, cable tv to catch up on world events. The included dinner was overall delicious though the selection of desserts a little sweet for us. Great location to the plaza, train station, bus to machu picchu and markets.card... More

It is a brand new hotel with many problems. Everyone will say it is the nicest hotel in the town, but it is not worth the money. The service is horrible. The building is new, but the doors didn't shut, and it was INCREDIBLY loud because you could hear all of the doors slamming shut. The restaurant in the hotel... More

My husband and I recently spent two nights at the El MaPi Hotel during our visit to Machu Picchu over the holiday season. The positive aspects of the hotel are the location and the fact that it is very clean and modern but the hotel is incredibly noisy. It’s nearly impossible to get a good nights sleep and/or take a... Busy lobby with not enough front desk staff. With that said the staff present were friendly and helpful. We were given a room on the first floor. This was a mistake because of the noise from traffic in the hall. The halls are tiled and every noise is amplified. Were next to a family whose children were allowed to go... More

A very short walk from the train station and bus stop makes this the perfect central place to get to/from Machu Picchu. The room was a moderate size, tho as most folks are just carrying bags for 1/2 nights it was plenty big enough. the bed was large (king) and very comfortable. bathroom well equipped and lots of hot water.... This Hotel is centrally located near Machu Pichu and the train. It is also near all the restaurants and bars. El Mapi’s restaurant had a great atmosphere and the ceviche was awesome. The staff was friendly and the rooms were nice.

This hotel is very good for 1 or 2 night stay for visit to Machu Picchu. It is also very conveniently located. When we left the hotel we did not have to walk to train station carrying our luggage but hotel transported our luggage to station which was very nice. The hotel price also included dinner and breakfast. We are... More

Stayed one night for early visit of machu picchu. Central hotel in this very small village. Nice staff, rooms modern, clean, but somewhat basic. No real complaints, but not great. To be expected in this machu picchu entry village. Dinner was included in our rate, and was not bad, to our surprise. Breakfast simple but adequate. Free wifi variable and... More

We stayed here for 2 nights and were quite impressed as the room included breakfast and dinner at the very nice restaurant. We skipped the dinner to try a smaller local resto but the breakfast was very good including all the usual hot items and pastries. Our room was large, spacious and clean and included beautiful robes. We slept like... More

As part of a tour of South America, the group stayed here while seeing Machu Picchu. We all wished we had had a longer stay at this beautiful hotel! Hard to put into words how much we enjoyed the rain forest type garden setting. We found the buffet breakfast excellent while enjoying the views of the rushing river below. We... More
