The Imperio Hotel was an unexpected surprise. We had to be separated from our group and we were sent from the Flowers Hotel up to see Gisela at the Imperio. We could not have been made to feel more welcome. Our room was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. Even the towels were made into a dog with a lovely flower... More

On first appearance it looks fine, but then you go up to the rooms and the corridors and stairs, make you doubt the choice. The room is quite small, tight in fact, furnishings are not really that, there's a storage unit of some sort, where you can place say a back pack, maybe a second one as well, maybe your... More

This hotel was just what our tour group needed after a day climbing around Machu Picchu. We were warned ahead of time that some of our accommodations might be noisy and that bringing ear plugs would be in order. The night we stayed, there was a festival going on in the soccer field almost next door and the ear plugs... More

The Imperio Machupicchu Hotel is functional and very small. There is no elevator and is primarily designed for one night stays in which the guest is exhausted from climbing Machu Picchu, so there is no need for frills. It is located in the village square and there are many places to eat or shop. The rooms are small, but very... More

This hotel is cute and quaint and charming and one of my favorites. It is small and very clean. Located on a hill (as is almost everything in Aqua Calientes) and it has no elevator. Breakfast was included and good. The shower was hot. No hairdryer. The staff was friendly and helpful.

If you manage to get to Machu Picchu and Aguas Calientes avoid this hotel at all costs. This has to be one of the worst around. The outside noise is deafening as is the noise inside the hotel. So if you are spending the night, as most people are, to get up early the next morning to experience Machu Picchu,... More

The window didn't close, it was really noisy outside. We could have as well slept outside.. The room was tiny. We couldn't eat anything over breakfast. Wifi didn't work in the rooms. The service was average, nothing special. Wouldn't really recommend, there are plenty of hotels in Aguas Calientes

I had no issues with the hotel at all. Accommodations were good for Peru. This was not a 5 star hotel, but very CLEAN, comfortable, had good hot water pressure and decent beds. Staff was very friendly and always available. Very likely could have negotiated a lower price had we not booked through a travel agency.

This hotel is comfortable and clean. Good location next to the railway station and town. Breakfast has limited options, but to be fair, they will provide fruit if you ask for it! Staff are very accommodating, wi-fi only works in the foyer, they are happy to store your luggage after checkout if you are visiting local attractions.

I had no problems in one night at this hotel, unlike some other reviewers. I found a very clean room an pleasant bed. Indeed the location is indeed noisy, breakfast is poor and the hotel does not offer anything special. However, once my goal was just having a room to sleep a night in my expedition to Machu Picchu (and... More
