RupaWasi is exactly the kind of place I was hoping to find. It's located in town but set into the trees on the hillside, overlooking the town of Aguas Calientes. I'd hear roosters crowing in the morning, could see the train way below as it came into town, and could smell fresh-baked bread in the morning from Treehouse restaurant. The... More

The worst part of Rupa Wasi was the steep flight of stairs that you need to climb to get to the entrance. BUT that's it. Everything else was amazing. The staff were great, my room unfortunately did not have a view (rm #1) but everything else made up for it. The beds were very comfy and warm. They provided a... More

We arrived at night with the help of hotel staff to lead you to the hotel. They wait for you at the station with a sign indicating which hotel. The little town was still buzzing! Up a steep little staircase to our snuggled in among the trees bungalow. Upon checking in you can opt for a packed lunch for the... More

I stayed at the Rupa Wasi last year in June with my dad. It is such an amazing place. The rooms are like treehouses and are so cosy. Don't expect a lot of luxory but for me the view and the staff was really luxurious. They are so nice and welcoming and they didnt mind that we brought some friends... More

I was incredibly pleased with my stay at Rupa Wasi. My room (#3) was comfortably furnished and spacious. I loved the view from the balcony. The bed was very comfortable and plenty of blankets were provided. A space heater was also available to stave off the chill night air. The bathroom was spotless and the shower seemed to have an... We stayed at the #5 suite with a panoramic view. We loved the hotel and the staff really made our stay memorable. Said was extremely helpful and she recommended in suite massages after having done the inca trail. The massages were great and they really added to our experience. Overall, a great place to stay!!

Rupa Wasi is a fantastic place to stay and I would highly recommend it. Saila, who spoke English, at the front desk was such a sweetheart and very helpful to us during our stay. Most of the staff seemed to speak little to no English, except for the staff in the Treehouse restaurant. Thank you, Saila, for being so kind,... More

I was really excited to stay here for our one night in Aguas Caliente. When we walked into the open air lobby it felt like we were in a tree house. The staff was amazing and the breakfast at 4am was the best we had in Peru. I was a little disappointed with the room-#2. It is very basic and... More

We spent one night at Rupa Wasi -- spending our first day hiking around MP and our second day hiking H.P. This is an experience that we won't forget, sore legs, amazing rain storms, incredible views and absolute beauty. The Lodge sits up a long set of stairs from one of the main squares in town. So you need to... More

It is a very unique hotel, as they only have a few rooms and it feels like you were in the middle of the rainforest. Very small and quiet, friendly staff. The restaurant has a nice menu and is very inviting. We had a very early breakfast as we were going up to Machu Picchu, and the staff even though... More
