Such a great place to stay. Lots of charm, great service, excellent location. In the middle of pubs, shops, bus stop, train station, and restaurants. Cute decor, bedding is just okay - but very comfy for Peru standards. Breakfast is all cold, no hot items.

Spent a coupla nights here at the hotel Pachacuteq -- just a short/medium walk from the Aguas Caliente PeruRail train station. Other than the uphill/downhill grind that's everywhere in this neck of the woods ; the hotel was just great. Rooms were comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was fresh and just what was needed before the exciting day ahead of... More

This hotel is located close to the hot springs and bars. It is comfortable and the showers worked well. I enjoyed the simple breakfast. Yes, it is quite high up the hill but if you pack sensibly this is not a problem. I slept really well here and my luggage was stored away safely. I had no problems with the... More

Just stayed here a few weeks ago as part of a G Adventures trip. Great spot on the main drag in Aguas Calientes but nothing special--good place to spend the night and close to the Hot Springs, restaurants, and markets in town. Pretty far up the hill though if you have a lot of luggage and my room was on... More

This is just a terrible place to stay. It is cheap, but there is no value here because of how truly nasty the people are who work here. Besides this, the rooms and the breakfast are horrible. But most important, like many hotels in the area, they want you out by 9 am and offer to store your luggage for... More

We stayed here for one night after visiting Machu Picchu. If I could, I would rate this place ZERO stars! DO NOT STAY HERE! No matter how cheap it seems, it is not worth it! There was the smell of urine in the halls and in the room. The bathroom was not clean, and there were little creepy crawley things... More

This is not a designer hotel. But we walked in without a reservation and got a clean room, clean bed and a hot shower for a great price. The price also included breakfast, which was basic in terms of bread, fruit, etc. This place is family run and the staff is very nice. The Senor helped carry stuff up the... More

Stayed here for one night before a visit to Machu Picchu. The rooms were basic but clean. The breakfast consisted off fruit and bread with some yogurts. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated in the middle of town, surrounded by restaurants and shops. It does sit at the top of a steep hill but as your... More

Aguas Calientes is expensive, absolutely. So this hotel is what you'd expect from a lower cost option. The rooms were clean; the shower worked; and the Internet was spotty. For some reason, there was hammering after bedtime (which is early for most Machu Picchu visitors). The door had large gaps that certainly didn't block the extremely loud guests yelling up... More
