It was good enough for our needs, meaning it was clean, quiet, had a portable room heater, hair dryer, refrigerator, and adequate closet and counter space to put clothing. The bathroom was tight on space, with the toilet nearly touching the shower door and the sink. The sink faucet did not allow you to get your face close enough to... More

Pros: box breakfast offered, friendly staff, wifi, tv, comfortable beds Cons: SMALL room!, TINY bathroom, location is pretty far up the hill Our room was right off the open lounge area so you could hear what was going on outside. Although noise wasn't the main complaint. This room had the SMALLEST bathroom that we experienced during our 20 day South... More

My husband and I stayed 2 nights in La Cabana and loved it! The seating/sleeping area: The room we stayed in was huge and super clean, with a seating area too. The bed was really comfortable and the room was warm (we did not need the heater provided). There is a mini fridge to stock your items and also buy... More

This hotel is a good 10-15 minute walk from the train station, and you do you have to walk up quite a few minor hills. Other than that, I think that is the beauty of walking as I didn't have any issues with loud music, bars, or anything that would hinder my rest. I think I probably stayed in this... More

We had chosen La Cabana hostal for having a reasonably decent place to stay in Aguas Calientes, a bit away from the noise, and it did the job. The building is without any character or charme which means that it perfectly integrates with the atmosphere of the entire town. Rooms are practical and have the amenities you would expect in... My mother has always wanted to visit machu picchu but knew she couldn't do it alone. We took her this past week and the friendly staff at La Cabana couldn't have been better. They provided a birthday cake for my mum and treated us like family. We highly recommend the hotel if visiting the site.

Clean, expensive---but everything is in this town. Breakfast is OK---not very fancy. Good location. Lots of restaurants. They were nice enough to carry our baggage to and from the train station---it's uphill all the way.

Positives: Friendly staff, clean hotel much needed after a long trek with plenty of hot water, and comfortable bed. They offer free service to pick up and drop off your luggage at train station as hotel is a bit uphill. They also stored our luggage day of MP hike. Hotel is otherwise well located, 5 min walk to the bus... More

I had reserved a room at a hostel I found to be dirty and unsafe, so I was searching the city at the last minute for room. I found La Cabana for $110 US. The woman at the desk spoke English and after telling her what happened at the Hostel, she showed me the available room before I booked it.... More

I stayed at Cabana through a Machu Picchu tour. Everything in Aguas Caliente is close by, so the location was great. My room had a great view of the mountains. The service was friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was very good and had tons of selection. The room was clean and warm. It was a bit noisy at night,... More
