Entering the hotel you get the impression that this place is pretty nice. We got room #310, which is located on the top floor with a river view. Once we enter our room we could not find a closet to hang our clothes, which I thought was strange because the sitting room had plenty of space for a closet. Then... More

A small basic hotel on the main street in Aguas Calientes / Machu Picchu town. Ideal for the Machu Picchu visit, we stayed there after completing the trek and it was ideal for that. Free wifi. the breakfast buffet was adequate and it is next door to the numerous bars and restaurants in the town, 2 mins to the bus... More

The Hostal Presidente is literally a place to stay on your Machu Pichu excursion. Yes, we also had a nice river view from our balcony. The hotel is centrally located and the service is friendly. The rooms are dated but acceptable. So, if you're looking for a place to sleep that is centrally located then it's not a bad place.... More

We stayed in this hotel less than 12 hours, and it was okay. We took a later train from Ollantaytambo and checked in at about 7pm and then checked out the next morning at 6am so we could get in the line for the bus up to Machu Picchu. The rooms are outdated, the shower curtain was about 14 inches... More

We were in 207 or 208... Don't stay in those rooms. Our room was dingy, smelled a bit moldy and had a beautiful view of a WALL. There was no place to work, to speak of, no power outlets other than by the bed. WiFi barely worked in the room. We didn't complain about the room, since we were there... More

We had a one night stay for our two day visit to Machu Picchu. The room did overlook the river and that was a beautiful view. However, the room was dingy with very poor lighting, the tile grout in the shower had mold and the wifi did not work in the room unless you were standing in the corner right... More

In this hotel it's all about the location. Centrally located in the small town of Aguas Calientes. Don't let the train tracks scare you because all the hotels are on the tracks. The train doesn't work at night so you don't hear a thing. The hotel rooms look to a beautiful river and cliff, just charming and cute. It is... More

Do not let the hotel sitting on the railroad tracks alarm you. Trains do not run at night, so it was very quiet. Charming hotel directly on river, request rooms 210 and 310 with large balcony's overlooking the roaring river. I am a travel agent and lots of research prior to my trip many did not recommend even staying in... More

Probably got the best room with a view of the Urubamba River flowing in front. The room was quite big, beautifully, traditionally decorated with a balcony overlooking the river. Lighting was adequate. Enough space, good ventilation. The bathroom was quite large with adequate toiletries but you don't get hot water after 6 pm. Located bang in the middle of the... More

I had a very nice, clean room with two double beds. It had a balcony that faced the river. I noticed that every balcony had a live large potted plant on it, which I thought was a nice touch. The bathroom was adequate, perhaps it could've been a bit cleaner and more modern, but it wasn't anything that would be... More
