We arrived after walking the Inka Trail. Exhausted and just wanting to sleep. The young girl on the desk was very helpful and spoke pretty good English. The room seemed clean although the bathroom was 'cosy' to say the least. They had cut out a chunk of the door so that it could open past the basin!! If you are... More

This hotel is well located, our room had a small balcony that overlooked the Urabumba River with a beautiful view of the mountains. Our matrimonial room was huge with a sitting room just off the bathroom separate from the bedroom area. The hotel breakfast is simple but available from 4.45am (great if you are doing an early start for Machu... More

In Agua Calientes, the entire area is basically for tourists to go to Machu Picchu. Along the rail road are all the hotels and restaurants. There is a section for the market too. I thought Presidente was pretty clean and our room was pretty big in terms of the location. The free wifi only works in the lobby. There is... More

My room was very clean, plenty of hot water, some direct tv channels, and a small balcony with river view. WiFi signal only worked in the lobby, and breakfast was ok. Just a short walk to restaurants and the Machu Picchu bus. Walked in off of the street and negotiated a better rate.

We stayed here one night on our visit to Machu Picchu. It’s pretty basic lodging, rather reminiscent of a log cabin, with wooden walls and scant uncovered lighting. There was some dark grime on the bathroom light switch, but that’s the only unclean thing I saw and it was easily wiped away. The internet connection was fast and good, likely... More

Hotel is very basic and is located along the railway in the center, but you do not suffer from the noise of the train. Nearby are plenty of restaurants. Departure for the bus to Machu Picchu is within walking distance. The rooms are small with a good bed, but usually you're only here one day with less baggage. Breakfast is... More

Entering the hotel you get the impression that this place is pretty nice. We got room #310, which is located on the top floor with a river view. Once we enter our room we could not find a closet to hang our clothes, which I thought was strange because the sitting room had plenty of space for a closet. Then... More

A small basic hotel on the main street in Aguas Calientes / Machu Picchu town. Ideal for the Machu Picchu visit, we stayed there after completing the trek and it was ideal for that. Free wifi. the breakfast buffet was adequate and it is next door to the numerous bars and restaurants in the town, 2 mins to the bus... More

The Hostal Presidente is literally a place to stay on your Machu Pichu excursion. Yes, we also had a nice river view from our balcony. The hotel is centrally located and the service is friendly. The rooms are dated but acceptable. So, if you're looking for a place to sleep that is centrally located then it's not a bad place.... More

We stayed in this hotel less than 12 hours, and it was okay. We took a later train from Ollantaytambo and checked in at about 7pm and then checked out the next morning at 6am so we could get in the line for the bus up to Machu Picchu. The rooms are outdated, the shower curtain was about 14 inches... More
