We were in 207 or 208... Don't stay in those rooms. Our room was dingy, smelled a bit moldy and had a beautiful view of a WALL. There was no place to work, to speak of, no power outlets other than by the bed. WiFi barely worked in the room. We didn't complain about the room, since we were there... More

We had a one night stay for our two day visit to Machu Picchu. The room did overlook the river and that was a beautiful view. However, the room was dingy with very poor lighting, the tile grout in the shower had mold and the wifi did not work in the room unless you were standing in the corner right... More

In this hotel it's all about the location. Centrally located in the small town of Aguas Calientes. Don't let the train tracks scare you because all the hotels are on the tracks. The train doesn't work at night so you don't hear a thing. The hotel rooms look to a beautiful river and cliff, just charming and cute. It is... More

Do not let the hotel sitting on the railroad tracks alarm you. Trains do not run at night, so it was very quiet. Charming hotel directly on river, request rooms 210 and 310 with large balcony's overlooking the roaring river. I am a travel agent and lots of research prior to my trip many did not recommend even staying in... More

Probably got the best room with a view of the Urubamba River flowing in front. The room was quite big, beautifully, traditionally decorated with a balcony overlooking the river. Lighting was adequate. Enough space, good ventilation. The bathroom was quite large with adequate toiletries but you don't get hot water after 6 pm. Located bang in the middle of the... More

I had a very nice, clean room with two double beds. It had a balcony that faced the river. I noticed that every balcony had a live large potted plant on it, which I thought was a nice touch. The bathroom was adequate, perhaps it could've been a bit cleaner and more modern, but it wasn't anything that would be... More

This was a perfect spot to start and finish our Machu Picchu climb. Perfectly located, (once we found it), and the room was really nice. Room 211 (not 217 as another reviewer wrote) was the perfect room. There is no 217, but 211 is on the backside, right over the river with a deck, and yes, the river is loud,... More

The room was very basic but we didn't expect anything fancy. Everything worked. Breakfast was sufficient. This place was adequate to stay overnight before Machu Picchu. Location is great, on the main street & short walk to bus station.

This hostel is fine, and at a good location, but I was very disappointed when I got there and saw their published prices on the wall behind the counter where less than half what I had already paid through their web page. Before writing this review I twice wrote emails to them to try to rectify the situation, neither of... More

The hotel is spartan, basic. No heater. Hot water was more like warm. Aguas Calientes at the foot of Machu Picchu does not have many options as far as hotels. As for the fact there was no heater, we just asked for more blankets. I am from California so I am not used to the cold nights there. If you... More
