Hotels in Aguas Calientes are expensive, not just because it is all about tourism, everything has to be shipped in by train and taken by hand cart to the hotels. I paid US$180 for 3 nights - I was happy to do so. Very central and close to the railway station and busses to Machu Picchu. Room 203 had a... More

The hotel couldn't be better located. A 2 minute walk from Machu Picchu station & a minute away from the handicrafts market. Aguas Calientes is small so everything is basically close. The room looked clean , toilet spic & span but I got broken sleep due to the bed bugs constantly biting. One of the male staff was extremely helpful... More

I would not recommend this place, very expensive for what you get. Rooms smelt bad (damp smell), walls were paper thin, no direct natural light into the room and an inedible breakfast. Having paid 60 dollars wee were expecting a much nicer hotel.

We stayed here one night prior to our visit to Machu Picchu. Clean, simple hotel with the best beds of our trip! Wifi available as well. Breakfast was great - close to the train station, downtown area.

Very clean, simple hotel. Everything worked and staff were very friendly and helpful. Wifi in the rooms is a luxury. Slightly set back from the main thoroughfare but this is ideal as you avoid the noisy choking trains which pass through town.

I met a great group of travellers on the Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu, but we lost contact in Aguas Calientes and I didn't know where they were staying. Luckily I asked Julio at Kantu Inn for help finding the group. Not only was he friendly and helpful, he called different agencies in Cusco from his personal cell phone and... More

My husband and I were supposed to stay at Royal Inti but apparently our reservation was set for the wrong day. The owner walked us over to this hotel which he also owns. Upon arrival, i noted that the check in area was nice. The male employee asked my husband and I if we wanted a double or queen bed.... More

My wife stayed here in order to meet me at the end of the Inca Trail Trek. In short, this is a very, very ordinary hotel. In fact, we are disappointed at the tour company for having used it. We shall be taking that up with them directly. The room was cell like - dark brick walls and tiny with... More

We arrived here on a group tour. The staff was friendly but of course none of our rooms were ready not even a couple that was super sick could check in (really not one room is open/ready)? In any case, the rooms were questionable, very small, have to sit on the toilet sideways in some rooms. The shower curtain fell... More

We stayed here as part of a tour. We arrived at the train station and after a quick toilet stop, went to meet a rep from the hotel. There was no-one there so we walked to the hotel (it wasn't far). When we got there the door was locked and we had to ring the bell. When we got in,... More
